Still a decent score, captain going well, but they'd want more than 450.

Not much excitement in the cricket... ok bowling and good batting. England will need to bat well, equal the Aussies in their first innings.

Didn't get to watch any of yesterday's play . Mitchell Starc is proving he is no mug with the bat, and old reliable Siddle took a couple of late wickets which has put us in a pretty good position.

The poms just need a draw to keep the urn, so I expect some boring batting from them as usual.

    Game on!

    Just been reading about Warner.

So many people, included us TD'ers were expecting him to come out and blast some quick runs, but what does he do instead? ..... just re-affirms that he is a first class tool!

Booed onto the ground by the poms, and booed off the ground by the Aussies!

    This guy will never learn.

His an embarrassment to the nation should be nowhere near the squad.

What he did yesterday does not warrant a sacking, but just re-affirms that he is a wanker. I'm pretty sure he would be running out of friends in CA though, and unless he starts to make lots and lots of runs, you would expect him to be removed from the squad and sent to play in state cricket.

And to think, it wasn't so long ago they were saying that he may be our next captain!

I've said it before, but guys like Warner have earned millions of dollars in their short careers, which goes to their heads - and you end up with half-talented kids who believe they are superstars.

I was waiting in anticipation of Cook bringing on Root to bowl to Warner who probably couldn't have resisted having a fling and skying one. Didn't last that long unfortunately.

Pup saw him hit it. Should have told him to go take a walk.

"My reaction was, yes, I thought Davey hit it," Clarke said. "But in fairness to Davey, if you have a look at the replay, he actually hit his pad at the same time so he obviously didn't feel the ball hit the bat. We had a little discussion in the middle.

"Let's just say we disagreed, but in saying that, I did say to Davey that I would back his judgement 100%. He was confident he didn't hit it so it was worth a look and I've said before I think that's the way DRS should be used. I think if the batter feels that he didn't hit the ball then his partner should back his judgement."

Only 3 decent scores from an English team with plenty of batting in the side when chasing 500+, disappointing to say the least. Need a massive input from Prior/Broad/Swann (100 plus) tomorrow to get ourselves back into the match.

Personally, i hope it doesn't rain to rob the aussies an opportunity of a win.

Great knock from KP keeps the game alive for the poms.

He has to be one of the best test batsmen around these days.

And guys like marmite think the poms don't need him! ........ he has a habit of scoring runs just when England needs them...

We don't. He's not English or Welsh and should be playing for the Yarpies.

If we can knock off the tail cheaply, I back the AUS bowlers to take another ten wickets.

Harris, Siddle & Starc are in form, and Lyon & Smith will get some spin on this wicket - which is predicted to be a broken up mine field by day 5.
