    50+ runs in 30 minutes.

Wagner might need to put the short ball back in his locker.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to self righteously start with 'BACK ON TOPIC...'

Just to bring the peanut gallery back to planet Earth before they declare themselves world-beaters for winning against New Zealand, in the last 30 years and 30 Tests against Australia NZ have managed to win 1 (one) match and there's been some very ordinary Australian teams in that period. Why this is I cannot explain, NZ typically punch well above their weight at any sport they turn their hand to and have produced some fantastic individual players, but for whatever reason they can't put a decent team together.

Kee-rist! England batsmen smashing it at 8.3 runs an over. C'mon guys, this isn't 20/20.

Their Kiwi coach Brendon McCullum, a prolific batsmen during his playing days, must have his side buying into playing positive cricket.

They won't bite mate, I've been trying to get a reaction to this inconvenient fact for ages but at this point they have no pride left whatsoever and will take wins any way they can get them. Including appointing Kiwi and Aussie coaches

^^Everybody seems to say it's Stokes who sets the style of play.

    Makes sense, as he's captain.

Apologies if that sets headwax off on another one of his doomed 'pissing on the cornflakes' missions.

We're on Full English Breakfasts, anyway.

'A master class from Brook' says the kiwi comm.

    Hard to argue.

    4-4-4-6

    Lead of 231 for four.

Game slipping away from the home side.

The most expensive first 11 overs of the day in Test Match history.

No no, I'm just trying to let you brittles keep whatever remnants of self worth you might have left by telling you not to start sucking one another off because you're doing well against New Zealand. That would be like beating San Marino 10-0 at soccer and suddenly thinking you could win a Euro or WC.

    Hang on...

Anyway, if England can keep going they'll probably declare midway through the final session. The new pink ball under the lights has proved challenging.

    Go Black Caps.

Stokes must have a lot of faith in his bowlers to play a reckless shot like that.

If I heard right, NZ have to break the record for their highest 4th innings total in NZ if they are to win this.

I'd still like a few more on the board.

    Ollie wincing a bit.

England might be timing this to perfection.

I wonder how much that declaration on day one and those three early wickets have shaped this match.

Sorry cuz, but calling it out as I see it. Youse guys are phenomenally good at Rugby but rather weak in cricket. Poor old black caps.

Another Australian appears to be hallucinating. He kept it to two sentences so you didn't get confused, too.

NZ need 394 to win. That would be a record 4th innings score by some distance in NZ.

(Attention Aussies - those are just two facts).
