Tendulkar rests his bat after his 200th test
great match last night
India chased down 202
Be nice to see Tendulkar make 16,000 test runs
He had to be given a nudge. According to an article I read a couple of weeks ago the BCCI 'asked him to retire' after they had schuduled his 200th test on his home ground.
First T20 I had watched in a while. Over 400 runs in 40 overs! Who would have imagined that possible 20 years ago!
Finch is in great form and I expect to see him in other formats.
Maddinson ( who I mentioned earlier in this thread as one of promosing young batsmen) also looked good - but I am concerned his technique may be ruined by playing in this slog fest format.

interesting article!
Well it's going to be a great afternoon if the weather holds
1st ODI
Austalia beat India in the 1st ODI. Our ODI team is still very good - We have beaten India 5 out of the past 6 series in India.
Australia 304 for 8 (Bailey 85, Finch 72) beat India 232 (Kohli 61, Faulkner 3-47) by 72 runs
Mitch Johnson bowling VERY quick again clocking 154.6kph.
Hope he bowls in the perth ashes test and makes the poms smell the leather.
SA v PK
Even as the first Test meandered to a draw, Bangladesh had plenty of reasons to celebrate, not least among them Sohag Gazi's performance on the final day. A Test hat-trick, only the second by a Bangladesh bowler, gave him a singular place in cricket history - he became the first cricketer to score a hundred and take a hat-trick in a Test. That wasn't the only record he claimed.
^ Nice to see the deshis putting up some fight. Only the weather beat them this time.
Once a wanker always a wanker.
^ Yep. Broad takes the cake doesn't he
Mitch Johnson has to be the quickest modern day left arm bowler.
SA 2 down
Nothing startling here. Clarke was not well liked. You can find stories of Clarke v Symonds, Clarke v Hussey, Clarke v Katich, Clarke v Martyn, Clarke v Watson off the top of my head.
Its also pretty standard for retired cricketers to open up in their books on what happened during their playing days. Strauss is making a career of it now too.
South Africa 43/2 (16.3 ov)
v Pakistan
make that 3
Steve Harmisson retired from all forms of cricket last week - I thought this guy was going to be a world beater when I first saw him, but it turned out he didn't have the heart for it. Interestingly, Simon Jones is the only one left from 'England's best ever bowling attack' from 2005. He was plagued by injury for a long time, but still playing after he changed his run up, and now hoping to play T20..

Pakistan wrap up South Africa for 249
Don't forget to mention that he's Welsh and shouldn't be playing for England.......55555Originally Posted by Wally Dorian Raffles

^yep.
1-3 last time in Aussieland. I'm thinking the Aussies would do very well to only lose 3 games this time around...
Me and Mike are thinking about 0-5...
