SL v WI
WT20I final
take a hiding off WI best player for the last 10 years Gayle. got 131 and WI got 205. Gayle got 75 not out. He was the difference between the two sides.
As I recall Gayle did not play for the team for a much longer period due to a similar disagreement with the Cricket Board. This was at a time when Gayle was head and shoulders above anyone else in the WI and the team genuinely needed him.
Are all cricket boards stupid? Maybe the ECB is not so bad in comparison.
SL to win the Final Sunday. Home advantage. Nuff said.
Australia and South Africa at the Gabba
South Africa won the toss and elected to Bat.
Right....after a proper cricket famine we are back online......
South Africa in Australia.....
South Africa batting 186-2 at tea with Hasim Amla 67* and Jacques Kallis 37*
Pretty ominous for Australia so far with what looks to me to be a pretty lightweight bowling attack.
The wicket offered help early but having weathered that the Jarpies are starting to turn the screw.....

That scorecard is looking a little bit more respectable.
Ponting is a worry at number 3.
Don't we have someone better or at least younger?
Clark and Cowan both centurions and doing well against reputedly the best bowling attack in the world.
Watson has to come back into the team so they might rejig the top order.
The Aussie batsman grinding the much vaunted Yarpie bowling attack into the ground.
4 for 400 odd.
Australian captain Michael Clarke reaches his 200 giving Australia a first innings lead of 4/ 458.
What a remarkable turn around just need a bowling attack now. Shame theres no foker watching.
When you compare the bowling attack the Aussies bowled well without luck and the South African attack has looked fairly thin.Originally Posted by daveboy
4 for 486 with Clarke 218 not out and Hussey 86 not out looks pretty grim for the Yarpie attack. In fact the only wicket to fall today was a freak run-out.
This foker watched the whole day and enjoyed the game immensely.Originally Posted by daveboy
Aussies should bat until lunch then put sa in and bowl some head high stuff just to keep them on their toes.
It will end in a draw.
Australia 4/527
Clarke 242
Hussey 100
Looking Good.
Watched it all day yesterday & again today.Originally Posted by daveboy

That gives us all afternoon to drop some bouncers at them.

SA 1/7
- India: 521-8 dec. (160.0 overs)
- England: 110-7 (52.0 overs)

Only another 181 needed to avoid the follow on should piss it .
England recovered somewhat and stand at 340-5 in their second innings at the end of day 4 having gracefully followed on.
They are virtually 10-5 with one days play remaining. Captain Cook winning the award for Endeavor with an unbeaten 168. Prior assisting with 84 n.o.
