Lovely goals Georgie was a broth of a boy and a prodigeous drinker, tho you may have the edge, the 3rd goal a gem just what you need now
In his day, Best embarrassed a lot of defenders and goalkeepers, with his sublime skills.
Did you know he is dead?
great player,
boss-shagger,
how the mighty have fallen eh Hal, from Georgie to Anthony
I'm old enough to have watched him in his prime, as well as Bobby Charlton. He was quite brilliant with the ball at his feet, but there were times when he missed good passing opportunities, as can be seen in that match above, against Benfica. Not that anyone cared, mind you, it was his enthusiasm and commitment on the ball that everyone enjoyed.
Everyone knew the names Bobby Charlton and Georgy Best in those days.
Sir Matt
My dad was never a fan
My mum still loves him
The BEST.
The worries about the way his life was going were absolutely crying out in that interview.
