Best player to have never played in a World Cup

    Well, the best is Best.

Schuster, Berbatov, Le Tissier, Brady, Rush, Kubala, Cantona, Giggs, Di Stefano, Southall- the best keeper I've ever seen apart from Schmeichel - didn't either.

I saw Bernd Schuster at Old Trafford against United in 1991. My old man took me to the away game against Atletico in Madrid and we got done by 2 late Madrid goals by Paulo Futre.

We were hopeful back at OT, but we couldn't get the ball off him.

Always enjoyed watching George Best. Not only did he know exactly what to do, when he had the ball at his feet, he understood how to finish. Never afraid to embarrass a defender or a goal keeper. Genious.

He even enjoyed his flaws off the field with booze and women!

Oh I don't think he did at the end. Ultimately it was a shame they wasted a good liver on him

Given that the reason he never played in one was because he lost to Scotland, you might as well stick Colin Pates in there as well.

You've never had a player in your history who came even close to George Best.

Actually, here's one minus the trophies
