Sir Lewis goes on Hard, he really likes that tyre!
I wondered if Ferrari could have gone for the soft at the end, at least on one of their cars. Especially since at the previous change it seemed like they were saying they didn't like the hard. Or maybe I just misunderstood what they were doing.
Lando said it was a good tyre and George made it to the end. Lewis can manage his tyres, it would have been interesting. We'll never know.
Some good passes by the Bearman boy, a fine performance after qualifying last. That gives Bearman 6 points in the Drivers' Championship, ahead of Tsunoda and Sainz, amongst others.

For me Ollie was driver of the day. From last to points is a great achievement given the ride.

Only about four years late then, and still miles off your witless prediction.

Well we knew Toto has been courting Mad Max, but who knew George's Mercedes contract runs out at the end of the year?

More and more Piastri is looking like the number one driver at Mclaren. Mad Max was relentless on the final lap in snatching pole.

The track is insanely fast though, and almost as dull as Monaco.

This 5 second penalty for not giving the place back is garbage. It means Piastri has to drive 15-20 laps in Mad Max's dirty air.

It should be a drive through penalty at the next safe opportunity.

Well that's justice. If Mad Max had given the place back he could have won. Lost by 2.8 seconds.

    Fucking muppets.

Yep, a real boneheaded move on his part. Piastri takes the points lead for the title.

Max can give it out but he can't take it.
He still put in a fine performance, all things considered.

Hamilton should have retired while he was still ahead. Looking very average again this year.

Oh I daresay he's trousering an enormous amount of cash to puddle around in mid table all year.

I expect Ferrari have one of those "one season" options, so that might be it for him.

Very odd that we have this group of regional fixtures and then randomly hop to Miami the weekend after next.

George will be somewhat pissed off with that I think.

I bet you can't name whose record Kimi broke without Googling it snubby.

No, it was Seb. 21, so the record has been well and truly demolished.

An entertaining sprint race. Pepe lost it on the formation lap.
Antman panicked a bit but kept it on track, lost a few places and did well until Whinger Spice's team, clearly feeling the pressure, sent Mad Max into him in the pits.
    Sainz... well.
And amusingly the FIA decided you should follow the rules and finish under the safety car because "motor racing" would have benefited the black guy.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
