Bill Shankly, Sir Matt and Tragedy Chanting

The two greatest clubs in English football meet today.

Liverpool were the worst for Munich shit in the 80s.

City knew the tragedy and weren't that bad then (you embarrassed yourself with that video the other night, Joe).

    No tragedy chanting, please.

I don't like nu football and I despise Liverpool, but let's just be decent human beings, eh?

By the way, United under 18s, who I've repeatedly told you about, beat Liverpool 9-1 yesterday.

There is no club in the world like Manchester United

Look at the Stretford End and hear the noise

    Amad's goal against Liverpool. What a feeling. What a moment. What a goal. #mufc #facup #manunited - YouTube

Spurs era, early sixties. Bill Nicholson led that team to the first double. The Busby team goes baxck further to the 1950s. The roots of the 68 European Cup winning side found there post Munich.

The Liverpool team under Shankly drew support from the non aligned fans. They played attractive attacking football, and if you were not biased agains them, they played the game people enjoyed.

Sorry Harry, but my old fella followed the Gunners post WWII, and he and I never got on. No doubt they were a top side in those days, and again under Wenger.

Man City under Allison and Mercer, were good to watch when Saturday nights finished with MotD. Bell, Lee, and Summerbee ruled inconsistently until Man City took the oil money …….

Big business will probably win the day. Which kind of money man do you prefer?

I’d quite like to see Newcastle do well, but they’ve left it too late this season. Ginola was the only likeable Frenchman ever.

Philosophy is questions that may never be answered. Religion is answers that may never be questioned.

Yes, I think perhaps we'll find out who the fucking fannies are this evening.

I suspect you'll be incoherently drunk by then anyway, and will probably hide for another week.
