Though much of what Liew said is true, the bottom line is that nobody goes to the game hoping their team doesn't win.

    It's just not human nature.

So though Championship games are often a lot more fun than Premiership games, anyone following a team in the 'top' 15 yearns to see their team promoted...sometimes to a league they despise.

It's almost as complicated as marriage.

Anyway, they'd better get on with it.

    "Look like"?

    They're up.

And realistically Ipswich should be able to beat Dirty Leeds to 2nd.

    ^ I f'kin hope not.

Hull are playing well, but a win there today would be a big step to the Premiership. A draw would be ok too. But, a win, with Dirty Leeds losing, would be:

    Cycling should be banned!!!

Actually yes, I'd forgotten you were playing Hull.

    C'mon the tractor people.

Numpt will doubtless be stirred by the Nicola Sturgeon pic.

You're only saying that because if Ipswich win you're assured a play-off place!

You lot should beat Sheffield Wednesday today.

Disappointing... We need something out of the Coventry game on Tuesday - won't be easy.

&, even worse... West Brom are under pressure to keep that play-off place.

    A few questions:

Will Dirty Leeds ruin the day?

Will Hull beat West Brom to sixth?

Are Birmingham gonna be playing Rotherham andd Huddlesfield next season?

Sadly, I think you're pretty much in the playoffs. Hopefully, you'll lose then we'll take your two best players into the premiership next season. Your pig ugly cheating centre forward looked decent, we'll take him (I think he's already been provisionally approached and agreed).

Unless Hull win by 7 and Norwich lose.

I was reading about Ipswich this morning.

I didn't know they were also backed by US money.

True. The money has helped last season and this by bringing In players when we needed a push in January - that's a certainty. But, the owners have focused on a professional and efficient club set up - we have experienced people in good positions.

But, yeah, if we do go up they'll be money to spend - not crazy money, but maybe 2 or 3 premier League players and half a dozen cheaper foreign leagues and the championship players with potential. This could give us a chance of staying up (mayyyyyyybe???).

Leif Davies, given to us by Leeds for 1 million has been the top assists in league 1 now the championship as a left-back!

We've got a new US based owner too.

Really, it's just hugely important for us that Guochan Lai has moved on and we have a manager who has worked wonders with this squad after Steve Bruce was sacked with us bottom.

So compared to other possibities, where we are now...every Albion fan should be delighted really.

That arsehole Lai was using the ground as surety to borrow money - a slippery slope.

^ That's good. With sensible management historic clubs like ours start to have a chance. Really, there's 20+ clubs that have the history to be in the PL. But, you need good management (or wastefully huge money and Nation state cheating ability).

West Brom have been on a crap run. But, if you get the result today then you can make it through the play offs, that's for sure. West Brom would be my preferred third promotion spot team. I was at Highbury in 78 for the FA cup semi, and you lot had some great players on the park; regularly near the top of the league fighting for European spots and a possible league title...

Yeah Norwich are fine. I'd like Hull to sneak into the playoffs as I went to uni there.

In a way I'd like Ipswich to get promoted just to watch them get absolutely stuffed every week.

I've decided to watch the Arsenal game and enjoy the mixed up highlights from the championship later.

Well, it's a lovely Spring day in Sandwell.

But our manager still doesn't know his first 11.

    Well done Ipswich. Congrats Betty.

The play offs are a lottery. I hope Leeds get shafted.

Surprising to see Birmingham go down, they were a standard PL team for years.

And Huddersfield, I remember when they got a big injection of cash, and Steve Bruce?, and a big new state of the art stadium (JJ Sports?) around 15-20 years ago and they were viewed as a team for the future of English football.

    Obviously not.
