Our next match is away to Hull, but not until the 27th - the rest of the top ten have 2 or 3 games before then, so it'll be interesting to see the league position before the games on the 27th.

Saints v Preston should be an interesting game tonight - both need to win.

It's the best time of the entire season to be playing Leicester.

Preston have won one of their last four games, as have Sheff Wed., who are second from bottom.

I predict 7 points, and the mustard munchers to scrape sixth.

You have Norwich finishing two points ahead of us?

You think they will win every game?

Nah. Bristol City to nick a point off them next weekend.

And then a defiant B'ham win on the last day.

I don't want Norwich to finish in the top 6, but their games look pretty straightforward - the easiest run in. Two of their three games are at home - it's a big advantage for those teams with more home games.

Your games are tricky because every team you play needs a win to either get top two, possible top 6 or try to avoid relegation. As per ITFC, two of your three games are away. Thus, I suspect you'll slip up several times - I hope I'm wrong...

Well, we should be 3-0 up but we're 1-0 down.

    Poor finishing again.

I wanted them to get Ivan Toney from Peterborough a while back.

^ Bristol City the only team with no red squares... but all too late sadly.

^ Much too little, much too late. 30+ points off the top of the league and 10+ points away from the playoffs. Some good performances at times, but very mid-table effort...

Coventry miiiiiiight have a chance of sneaking into the playoffs?

Leicester could be up (more or less...) by next weekend.

    Second place is anybody's.

I wouldn't like to pick a playoff winner...

    Whoever finishes third.

It's clear that West Brom with a striker next season will be a very good side.

We should have put five past Leicester yesterday.

Blackburn vs Sheff Wed - first half has been entertaining.

    1-1 (39)

    1) Not sure about that. It's likely ITFC will finish third, but they wouldn't make it through the playoffs.

    2) West Brom are decent and pretty consistent, but year, they need a couple more players, including a striker. Consider all the options that Leeds have - if you had 25% of their striking options then you'd be right near the top of the table.

    3) A lot of teams at the bottom now have something to play for (as well as Southampton, Hull and Coventry), so there won't be many easy games.

Lastly, Please, please, please, Middlesbrough put Dirty Leeds to the sword this evening (because there's no way we'll win our last three games; we need Leeds and Saints to drop points too).

I think you slighty exaggerate the strength of these teams at the bottom with something to play for.

They're at the bottom for a reason, and only one of the bottom six won last weekend.

There's some truth to that, buuuuuut - I'd rather be playing a crap team with nothing to play for who are already on the beach than a crap team who need a point from the match to stop a salary reduction (and serious whining from the wife...).

By that, I take it, that you don't see them in Premier League next season.

    .

In hindsight it is increasingly clear that the six Super League clubs should probably have been allowed to go: allowed to join their soiled, half-baked breakaway with its fantasy economics, leaving the rest of the pyramid in peace. The new regulator has the power to rebuild the finances of Championship football, to dissuade impatient owners from building entire business models out of debt and pipe dreams. In the meantime, perhaps fans need to stop conceiving of the Premier League as a form of salvation. For clubs like Sheffield United, grumbling and cursing, relegation need not feel like a trap door. Perhaps, in a certain light, it can even feel like an escape hatch to freedom.
    makes a lot of sense.

as Leeds supporter I have enjoyed our sojourns in the championship a lot more than our time in the premiership, and getting rid of the premierships over entitled top six, along with their prima donna managers would certainly be a good move.

I was really hoping it would happen.

The expansion of the CL was an inevitable consequence when it didn't.

As a result of that they're now starting to fvck with the FA Cup.

It's just out and out greed.

Leicester crushed Southampton 5-0, so we will probably go on to lose the last two !

^ You can just never tell...

Most of the season, I've thought Leicester and Leeds then the other from the play-offs is just a lottery. It looks that way.

At least it's in our hands; 3 games, 3 wins = promotion. But, I can't see us beating Hull and Coventry away.

And, yeah, we'd be crucified in the Premiership. The keeper is ok. The captain is ok when it's not ramadamadingdong month. But, none of the rest would be up to the PL, imho. So, I don't mind at all if we don't go up. We've over achieved this season because we are a pretty standard mid-table side with a good manager that brought a style that confused some teams tactically - that's it.

All sides in the play offs will be vulnerable, even if Hull continue a late run.

Dont like ‘entitled’ Leeds, so i would prefer Ipswich to get 2nd auto spot. They will struggle in the Prem next season, but at least they get some money out of it.

Good luck for the play offs, some EPL money is a boost for any side, if only Chelsea can get relagated next year perhaps the yanks will leave.Perhaps Starmerisms most popular move ban foreign ownership, current owners auctioned off within a year,
