Most group games are at 11pm or 2am I think.

England's group matches are gonna need a decent plan for as they're all on late on a school night.

ODDS N SODS for punters some wide spreads this far out when injury of key players could skew

^ England must have a great chance but not as great as starting as 11/4 favourites surely.

6 hours when the Euros are on.

Or do they not take summer time into account?

The chances for confusion are endless.

Just ask my mum, she still regularly calls me at 3am, Korat time.

    FAO Chitty.

You won't know these names, so just google "football and footballers before I became a plastic City fan."

That's also Andreas Brehme (RIP) at 6 or 7 seconds in.

With Pierre Littbarski on the right, I think.

I used to idolose Littbarski and wore the same style of boots he did when I was a kid.

West Germany had the last laugh (again) that year, but that should have been another England World Cup.

Did you have .."Bundesliga Hair" too ?

('idolose' is actually a long needed word/concept)

I really did (my mum has a picture at home where I have the exact same haircut as Littbarski), but I chose the wrong footballer!

It's a long story, but I compared myself to Littbarski or Mike Duxbury when we were playing football on the park; the latter who the neighbours would definitely know, and I pretended to be Mike Duxbury in some daft street competition near me mam and dad's in the 80s.

My best mate still gives me stick for it now!

I should definitely have gone with Littbarski...

That was another fantasy I had.

    85-86 that one. Danish Dynamite.

    And I loved that team.

I remember waking up for school in 86 and seeing they had hammered Uruguay 6-1.

I was so happy that day.

    And then...

    Bryan Robson
    Preben Elkjaer
    Pierre Littbarski
    Jesper Olsen

My 4 football heroes when I was growing up in the 80s.

Funnily enough, I never ever wanted to be an England player (Robbo was United).

The closest I ever got was Gascoigne in 90.

It's a shame from publicans point of view that Wales were eliminated.

They're better for business than the Poles.
