    Football t-shirt

Is it easy to find shops in the Sultanahmet area that sell Turkey football shirts for kids? My daughter will be having her second birthday during our upcoming holiday to Istanbul and I really wanted her to wear a Turkey football shirt on her birthday

if you cross the Galata bridge and walk up Itsakal past the Galata tower, there is the official Galatasaray shop. Its quite cheap compared to other countries. Also try near the end of the Galata bridge near where all the fish sandwich shops are and near the sweet emporium.

    Fantastic city

is the legendary "pudding shop" in sultanahamet still in business.
it was there that i bought my ticket for the overland bus journey to new delhi way back in oooh, 19 something or other.

    happy and rather strange times.

I remember visiting the Galata tower about 30 years ago, and feeling very disappointed when I made my way to the top and didn't find an ice cream parlour.

true but i'd had enough of those tricky ice cream servers with their Tom cruise Cocktail antics.
some blinding ressies and cafes in that neck of the woods also
