Well at least we gave the Canadians a good ole drumming!
Impressed with the OT loss against the Bruins but not confident we can beat them or others in a series.
^Reference Bruins. I wouldn’t bet against them. Win/Loss
Bruins set NHL wins record
The Bruins set a new National Hockey League record with their 63rd win on Sunday, breaking a tie with the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings and 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning.
Why it matters: The 2022-23 Bruins now have a claim to the title of "best regular-season team in NHL history."
Yes, but: Beware the curse! In the four major sports, the teams that hold the regular-season wins record all lost in the playoffs.
- Major League Baseball (116 wins): 1906 Chicago Cubs (lost World Series) and 2001 Seattle Mariners (lost ALCS)
- National Football League (16 wins): 2007 New England Patriots (lost Super Bowl)
- National Basketball Association (73 wins): 2015-16 Golden State Warriors (lost NBA Finals)
Plus: The 62-win Red Wings and Lightning both lost in the playoffs, too. Now the Bruins hold the record and have a chance to break the curse.
What's next: Boston has 131 points on the season, one shy of the all-time record held by the 1976-77 Canadiens.
- They have two games left: home vs. the Washington Capitals on Tuesday and away vs. the Canadiens on Thursday.
- It could be a fitting finish if Boston beats Montreal to complete the greatest season ever.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
I'm predicting Oilers to be top this time next week.
Always nice to smash the Canadians. Lighting it is again! Bruins will probably be waiting for us in the 2nd though
I do not hold much hope, keekee has been pissing around with the line ups too much
^The Bruins are doing well.
Bruins break 1976-77 Canadiens' NHL record for most points in a season
Not only is the Bruins' 64 wins a league record -- besting the previous mark of 62 -- their 133 points have also set a new league record that stood for more than four decades.
The previous record for points in a single regular season was 132 set by the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens.

Yea the Bruins look really good and have been going on some long winning streaks as well. Pastrnak is a beast. I have never convinced by Matthews, before you jump down my throat, he is a great player and puts up great numbers but I think he lacks in making others around him play better.
One should listen twice as much as one speaks
^all those teams (top of this page) that have made it to the playoffs are good. Bruins are just one
Maple Leafs-Lightning schedule: Full list of dates, start times for first round of the 2023 NHL playoffs
The Toronto Maple Leafs will host the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. This is the second straight year these two teams will meet in the first round of the postseason, the Maple Leafs maintaining home-ice advantage again. Last year’s series was decided in Game 7 by one goal, Tampa Bay skating by 2-1. We’ll see if the Leafs can exorcise their demons and advance past the first round for the first time since 2004.
