    Homeless Chelski Tears

Let us hope the Abramovich era will rapidly end and back to business as usual .Few tears shed here
As a supporter since Ted Drake era and years in teh lower levels I shal wear a blck cockring in solidarity.

Roman Abramovich unable to sell Chelsea after UK freezes assets | Chelsea | The Guardian

Roman Abramovich’s hopes of selling Chelsea have been put on hold after the Russian oligarch was sanctioned by the UK government.
Abramovich’s UK assets have been frozen as part of the UK’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In a document published by the government on Thursday morning, Chelsea’s owner was identified as “a pro-Kremlin oligarch” and was said to be “associated with a person who is or has been involved in destabilising Ukraine and undermining and threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, namely Vladimir Putin, with whom Abramovich has had a close relationship for decades.”

The document stated that Abramovich has had a close relationship with Putin “for decades” and that the association has led to him benefitting financially.
The government said: “This association has included obtaining a financial benefit or other material benefit from Putin and the Government of Russia. This includes tax breaks received by companies linked to Abramovich, buying and selling shares from and to the state at favourable rates, and the contracts received in the run-up to the 2018 World Cup. Therefore, Abramovich has received preferential treatment and concessions from Putin and the government of Russia.”
Abramovich has repeatedly denied that he is linked to Putin or the Russian state, or that he has done anything to merit being sanctioned.
The measures mean that Abramovich cannot sell Chelsea or invest in the club. The 55-year-old put the club up for sale last week and had been hoping for a deal to go through quickly. There has been interest in the club from several parties.
Chelsea, who were bought by Abramovich in 2003, now face an uncertain future. The European champions have been given a special licence to continue operating, but they will do so with restrictions hanging over them. They cannot sell any more tickets, no merchandise sales are allowed and they cannot sign players or hand out new contracts. Season ticket holders are allowed to attend games and catering services will be permitted.

The story goes, RomanA was being flown in a helicopter to check out White Hart Lane with the intention of buying Spurs- then he saw Stamford Bridge stadium from the air, asked what it was and bought that instead. So maybe he should discontinue the Chelsea FC franchise, demolish the stadium and make some real motza on developing that extremely valuable real estate. Little point doing otherwise if they are not allowed to carry on as a professional sporting club, and neither is he allowed able to sell it.

They're better off without American owners.

The record there is not good.

Generally - it's pretty shocking how shamelessly the premier league has been prepared to suck c**k if the price is right.

Perhaps something other than cash in large amounts may matter in future.

    But don't hold your breath.

I said before i hope Chelsea and other Ruskie assets get seized and sold and the funds held for the Ukrainian rebuild.

    here's Chelsea's lot:

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sanctioned by UK government.

Premier League club frozen as part of action; proposed sale halted for time being.

Chelsea club shop must close, no more match tickets can be sold.

Fans who bought season tickets or individual match tickets before today can attend games.

Club can fulfil fixtures and pay wages of all employees, including players and coaching staff.

They can pay "reasonable" costs of travel to and from fixtures but not exceeding £20,000 per game per team.

Pay "reasonable" costs towards hosting home fixtures, not exceeding £500,000 per fixture per team.

Broadcasters can broadcast any fixture involving the club.

Should we burn Chelsea supporters at the stake, and haul their players off in chains for auction? Too good for 'em if you ask me.

The much larger Lamb and Flag was popular with Science labs adjacent , I actually preferred deep diving the scholarship glas down at the then slummy Bookibinders in Jericho which featured in first Morse episode, It's been transformed in recent year sbetter beer , less seating and off course rich yuppies knee deep.

Hardly anyone without pubic housing or inherited wealth can afford to be a worker in Oxford with London prices and provincial wage rates same Cambridge where one of my lasses married in a house/nook valued at half a million I would'nt want to live in.

The Lamb is owned by that filthy rich college, innit? I too preferred the walls of Jericho.
It's time we had a bonfire at the Bodleian, Chelsea supporters admitted free. Sign of the times.

I don't think, even if Roman lost all of his UK assets. that he'd be looking for Bt100 noodle buffets like the seppos did in Pattaya even before the pandemic.

It seems the UK govt get to decide on if or how the club gets sold.

It would be really funny if they sold it to the fans for like 50p.

I mean that's like 25p each, they can afford it.

But who would admit to being a chelski fan these days? Even russians don't like being burned at the stake.

I'd say let the sale go ahead and give Mr. Abramovich the proceeds of the sale less of course any tax he hasn't paid.

Unfair to punish the whole team for something they had no hand or say in?

Los of merch and tickets this season

But fans with 2 possible cup finals

Stuff the Russian , sequester to the state and raffle or allow him to sell to the highest bidder all proceeds to NHS and then club can resume playing.

As I have made clear I have no time for Roman Abramovich, oligarchs or Putin but punishing supporters is a distraction and sets a bad precedent.
If the state or charity want the highest valuation a fully operating concern will attain more than one with a lien or other impediments.

I'm sure I too would laugh it was arsenal City Utd etc , just imagine it was your team or some of those Newcastle fans owned by the Chop Square mafia.

If they really want to "target" sanctions just pay the Kosovans , only need to torch a few mansions the rest will slip off to some sewer like St Petersburg, Pattaya or hide out in the Chinag Mai , where the security sevices haven't got the "FOGGIEST".

Meanwhile my autographed Chelsea goalkeepers outfit is now worth a tank of diesel on AliBarbour.

why, hold it for the damage his country has done to Ukraine.

In other news it would be typical if Utd get a CL spot as a result of this.

Nothing you win counts. Nothing you win matters. It will always have an asterisk next to it.

That's because you're a corrupt little oil club that will never be up there with the proper clubs. The ones with a real history.

I know it. You know it. The whole world knows it.
