It would be quite hilarious if the Saudi Media Group were Shi'a.

It would make Chelski Newcastle like an old firm derby on speed.

Please do not pretend that you understand association football. You don’t. Soccer is a game for American children and their mothers. Perhaps it’s a better place to bury your new found cynicism?

    Don't worry about it.

It's just another attempt by the Putin brown noser to try and derail a thread that isn't going his way.

Fuck no, it's boring. But that doesn't change my stated opinion that:-

1/ EPL is the biggest soccer league in the world, by a long way &
2/ Both disenabling Chelsea to carry on as a professional football club, while simultaneously prohibiting RA from selling it is basically just cutting off your nose to spite your face. It diminishes the league as a spectacle, costs it revenue, and just quietly I doubt Roman has had to change his favourite brand of caviar or champagne as a result.
3/ As an aside, I also mentioned the po' Chelsea fans. They are not all Russian oligarchs.

So the recent announcement that, gasp, RA is allowed to sell it seemed good news to me. Not like I give a fuck really, but common sense is exactly that.

But of course it isn't about that at all, is it? Na, IT'S A PUTIN THANG!!! Well, Tough guys-

    Ukraine is still
accepting foreign volunteer recruits. Go on all you brave blue-and-yellow keyboard warriors who scream at anyone who calls for negotiations with Russia to end this war. Put your life where your tweets are.

    Just got curious:

Football is a general term used to refer to many sports which use the foot and hands to score goals. Whereas, Soccer is the term used in America, Canada, Australia to refer to the most popular global sport i.e. Football, which is also known as Association Football

Linguistically creative students at the University of Oxford in the 1880s distinguished between the sports of “rugger” (rugby football) and “assoccer” (association football). The latter term was further shortened to “soccer” (sometimes spelled “socker”), and the name quickly spread beyond the campus.

    Well played the smoggies!

Given the reasons for these sanctions, for Chelsea to seek to invoke sporting "integrity" as reason for the game being played behind closed doors is ironic in the extreme.

    I love these euphemisms...

An FA statement released on Wednesday afternoon read: “After constructive talks between The FA and Chelsea...
    Constructive talks:

Chelski: "Can we play our away games behind closed doors?".
FA and everyone else, laughing: "Fuck off".
    Chelski: "Ah OK".

You can try to create your own narrative to somehow prove a point but you're still wrong.
Lots of leagues are broadcast - Bundesliga, Seria A etc . . . is the EPL leading the pack? Yes, as it's a very good league . . . but that alone wasn't the criteria stared by sabang . . . so, pikey, I'd suggest you and your newest mate try another avenue

Good old smoggies, let's rub a bit of salt in the wounds.

We have an additional 3,200 tickets available to Boro fans for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup quarter-final tie against Chelsea at the Riverside (5.15pm).

These tickets have been returned to the club by Chelsea due to government sanctions.

These tickets will be available to purchase for Boro fans with 11+ Priority Points from Wednesday 16 March at 10.30am.

As for the Smoggy's good luck to them .

There is prospect of minted Yanks buying, expect a rebrand

New Improved Bum n Gerry's Chelsea Soccer Stars, an improvement on Chelski anyway.

I loathe Boris but would support a move where the state sequesters all assets, scubs debts to Abramovich and offers shares at market price to the fans, season ticket holders first , residents of the Royal Borough and staff players. Free of debt teh land alone would cover a bank loan.

Sell Kepa tho not sure 70 million recouped, I kid you not me and Andy S my schoolmate who had trials at Chelsea goalkeepers many moons ago 67-68 I think when Bonetti was first pick were better keepers as are many in UK today. He was selected I was sent for a trail at Charlton a lower tier team now but with a great history and following in 1960s

Captain Cesar Azpilicueta has earned his wages but out of contract in the summer.

Politicians who have never run a club or any other business should keep their snouts out castrate Roman on pay per view should cover the wage bill until the end of the season.

I predicted Liverpool to win EPL and a month ago conceded to Chitty that City seemed certs

I think Arsenal will join the top 3 in Europe.
As holders Chelsea don't need to qualify so Spurs , Utd even Wolves or Hammers in with a chance with around 9-10 games for most. On present form the Gunners may well get 3rd.

I have no beef with removing all 21 trophies under AR. Just let the fans see their team.no tickets need be sold for profit.

Quite correct,. I misposted. I somehow doubt they will retain that trophy so need a top 4 finish .

I think Liverpool and Chitty are certs

Other 2 slotss perm any 2 of Utd Spurs Arsenal Chelsea with Hammers and Wolves as unlikely
