Another week for the drama queens of world rugby - for Rugby Australia the theory 'any publicity is good publicity' isn't quite true
1. Wallabies Coach Dave Rennie sacked and replaced by Eddie Jones who was sacked by England before Xmas.
and then . . . Jones has been presented with the first major issue of his second reign as Wallabies coach with the news of Kurtley Beale’s suspension from the sport.
2. Today - Wallabies star Kurtley Beale granted bail after Bondi sexual assault allegations, stood down by RA. Beale was charged with two counts of sexually touching another person without consent, inciting another person to sexually touch them without consent, and sexual intercourse without consent.
Beale has played 95 Tests, and was included in former Wallabies coach Dave Rennie’s 44-person squad for the first training camp of the year last week.
Rugby Australia and the NSW Waratahs advise that Kurtley Beale has been suspended from all forms of rugby with immediate effect pending the conclusion of legal proceedings, as well as Rugby Australia’s own investigations.
Bit rough to be blaming Beale’s publicity on RA.
