We get the convicts on Friday, go Canuckistaners.
Pick of the men's footy today is Brazil-Germany at 18:30 Thailand.
Not a very exciting line up for the Thai athletes. Some guy in the 10000m.
The Opening Ceremony is at 17:30 Thailand I believe.
I'm betting on loads of drones.
Just seen the highlights of Germany-Brazil. It seems the squareheads Olympic team is shit as well. (4-2)
And Mexico gubbed France too. (4-1)
Egypt held Spain (0-0), and the Aussies got a commendable win over the Argies (2-0).

I hope there are drones. It's been a dismal pile of shit so far.
The ninjas are there, but you can't see them.
Ah that iconic Japanese dance form....... Tap dancing.
Eh?
I wonder how many of that Afghanistan team are planning on doing a runner in Tokyo.
This Olympics is bound to be a major fuckup. The opening ceremonies are a major disappointment, way too much Japanese micro-management. They should never have allowed these games to go ahead without the fans, totally boring. The major advertisers seem to have very much sharpened their utensils. Of course most of us aren't here to watch the commercials. Total travesty. I'm not hopeful. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole dog and pony show gets cancelled.
A true diplomat is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a manner that you will be asking for directions.
I've mostly been watching softball, seems odd when there's a foul ball into the stands and the stands are empty. Otherwise as a TV viewer I don't miss the fans.
Been some good games, the pitchers for the USA team are like machines! Canada Australia in 6 hours, should be good.
Not the coolest place ... 2am and still 27C
Russian archer feints in competition
Thankfully (for the Olympics) Typhoon In-fa hit southern Japan

Olympic winners, over time
When the Summer Olympics debuted in 1896, 14 nations participated in the 42-competition event.
Why it matters: Those numbers have risen steadily over time, with the U.S. dominating the Games as the Olympics expanded. Now, there are 339 events with 206 nations competing.
- Wealthier countries with more resources have usually taken the most gold. The Soviet Union was the only rival that came close to the U.S. record in the latter part of the 20th century.
- China has recently gained ground, a reflection of the country's rapid economic growth.
Of note: The U.S. has placed in the top three in every Olympics except one, in 1980, when the U.S. boycotted the Olympics after the Soviets invaded Afghanistan.
Just for fun.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
That's the problem. They cannot.
Norwegian handball players fined for not wearing bikini during European championships
They were fined and the country stood behind them and payed their fines.
It's a silly rule, I think it may be challenged more.
The shorts they chose were just as pleasing.
aus/can more excitement in the first inning than all the other games combined!! gonna be a good game
