The only talent is Sterling. The rest of those shmucks play like the Germans. Pass acceptance...and the ball bounces 2 meters from their feet. NO TALENT! SORRY LIMEY!

55 years of pain and finally England has got a team of players who are using their brains when playing.

This will only encourage ze germans to put ze football shirts on their kids, steal their kittens and post pictures on ze interwebnets.

A Wales football fan has raised over £28,500 ($39,400, €33,200) for a young German girl mocked online after England's win against Germany at Wembley Stadium in London.

Joel Hughes said the girl was the subject of online abuse after she was pictured crying on television and the big screen at the stadium. He said he hopes his funds will help counter the "unsavory element of social media."

"I can’t stand seeing that kind of bullying online," Hughes said.

He said he doesn't know the girl's identity yet but hopes "social media can sort that out."

They're playing well though, got lucky with the draw, are coming into it at the right time, will probably lose to Italy in the final, but might just win it.

Unfortunately the press will build the "it's coming home" frenzy to a crescendo just in time for Italy or Spain to thrash them in the final.

Just a week ago, the English fans where saying the Team was a boring back peddling team, then they score four, and whoa the circus is now focused on what a great team they are Listening to commentary they are like the 1966 team and breaking records.

Its all good for a laugh

Better save it for the English Kids who will never know what it feels like to be in the Finals or be real Champions.
    Even the Greeks are better

Maybe you can ask Otto to coach your Looser Squad.

That wouldn't inflict maximum pain, so I think they'll make the final no problem.

Since we're being nostalgic about comparative best, one might keep in mind the quality of competition from respective eras to the present.

There's no comparison to Bobby Charlton in the England line-up.

    It's a fatuous exercise anyway.

Good point, I did toy with the comparison.

If you played the 1966 team against the current team who does everyone think would win?

I'd say a draw as nothing can get past the Manchester defence.
    Walker, Stones, Maguire and Shaw.

    It's coming home

The safe hands of the great Dane Smiechal will frustrate the 3 lions attack leading to a penalty shoot out.

Whatever happens, the Italians are in form and look like hot favourites to win it.
