And just like that it's Bahrain all over again...
Max should have won more races. Well done MAX!!!
Nice move by Verstappen.
Liking neither Max nor Lewis, doesn't really work out too well for me.
Nice to see Toto that maggot with egg on his face. Bottas was swearing at him today "why the fuck doesnt anyone listen to me ?"
Fair plays to Mad Max, it was never going to be another Bahrain with a straight that long and Christian made by far the better call on tyres.
Mercedes strategy team are betting on losing horses at the moment which is damaging when the margins are so close.
The McLaren's are pounding Ferrari at the moment which is why Snubby has decided to jump ship and go glory hunting.
F1 TV pro worked like a hot damn. No buffering issues at all.
Off topic:
I might have a look at the IndyCar race later.
I see that Magnussen and Grosjean are having a deja vu. Such good friends they were
IndyCar ain't for pussies
Little discussion of tires, strategy, weather conditions, temperatures and track configuration pre race from alol you so called experts? SoHamilton didn’t get his desired position in park ferme at the end of the race?
Backspin thinks that Mercedes routine chassis swap between their own team drivers, puts Hamilton out of contention.
Bsnub thinks he knows about sport, but his indoctrination is entirely US based attempts to create ‘World Series’.
Ferrari are on the downslope numb nuts, and because Haas are US team in a game they are struggling to understand, you appear to have backed another loser.
Hamilton should have won the French GP. He didn’t, because the only driver close to him ability wise,
got the tyre strategy right, and team Mercedes underestimated the Red Bull capability.
The ding dong between the two top drivers will go on right to the end of the season. I’m pleased for McLaren that they at last seem to have a decent car and driver combination coming together.
Clearly MB made the wrong call but it was very, very close. Max must have had an outstanding out lap to be ahead when Lewis came out of his pit stop because when Lewis went in he seemed to have enough time to stay ahead and his pit stop was flawless.
It is a shame that MB didn't try a split strategy and second stop Bottas as he wanted. That said, Bottas was beaten on the track by Perez who also one-stopped.
MB could at least have brough Bottas in after Perez passed him so that he could get fastest lap and take one point off Red Bull.
It was all not to be.
I have been a bit of a Lando fan since he started in F1, he is racy and now he has got a good car under him. On the other hand, I have always thought that Leclerc had more good press than talent and here he was way back in 16th.
Did anyone watch the F3? That was good fun, started in the rain, which made it interesting. There is a baby Schumy and a baby Leclerc amongst the F3 drivers. I found it by chance, I had been looking for F2 , in fact the next F2 will be Silverstone in mid-July.
No Switch. I am not a big believer in individual drivers being the' difference makers generally. They are all the best drivers in the world. Bottas was beating Hamilton on the day of practice. So i said half jokingly that Bottas would be better all weekend. Turns out Operation Protect Hamilton was in force through the race so Bottas had the typical result. They could have used an alternative strategy for Bottas but then Hamilton probably wouldn't have made the podium.
Bottas should have won the French GP if they used a winning strategy instead of protecting HamiltonHamilton should have won the French GP.
