Well... What to say about that?
Random thoughts...
Frustrating AF.
Entertaining AF.
What was Nick White saying/doing? Twice in close succession he was seen throwing his arms up in the air "Wasn't me guv!" after contact with other players. He obviously picked up that it was quite a 'charged' game and was trying to provoke and milk it as best he could.
The Aussies could've won by more points. A few times their rampaging runs were only cut short by a tackler hanging on to a shirt. I reckon they would've won by an extra 10 points if they had kept their shirts tucked in.
Not sure how the ref is gonna be judged by this game but his performance was quite good apart from the over-zealous transforming of a game of rugby into a card game.
Rating: 11/10 would watch again.
Some people think it don't, but it be.
That was a cracking game, ref was a bit trigger happy with the red cards but the game went down to the wire
It was a very entertaining game. I'm glad the wannabes won, but as always- the match that didn't so much count. The Bledisloe had already been lost, again.
And yes, the kiwis are better at getting away with it. Frankly, it is a mark of their professionalism and assurance. But they still lost this game.
There is hope for the wannas. Tupo, Hodge- I had failed to notice them really, before. Surprising really, given the state of the ARU. And they were getting the basics right. It is a rare thing to see an aussie scrum dominant.
I really thought they had blown it (again) when they had a man sent off, when they were one man ahead though. So kudos- some heartening stuff there.
