Referee Owens being kind to Ireland, ignoring the 'framework' for tackles that in other games have been yellow, giving penalties only for two head highs and a late shoulder charge from the green team; and the deliberate knock-down, the potatoes getting the rub of the green from Nigel

Ireland finally gets scoreboard 69 minutes in.
I’ve been drinking coffee... where’s Betty? :D

(There's no need to count the final minute...)
The Cheating Kiwi Bastards were more impressive, close to perfect performance, but Australia played a lot better than Ireland. Having said that, England have a lot of improvement in them, and they'll need it.
Next week... ???
(I suggest that England get the plane home on Thursday to avoid the traffic... :))
If we really slow the game down, play at our pace, get the luck, then we may stay within 20 points. Or, have the Cheating Kiwi Bastards (they clearly had 17 men on the pitch) peaked too early? Anyways, it'll be a great semi-final. The Cheating Kiwi Bastards have to be heavy favourites, but England have a lot of power and score plenty of tries, so you never know.
England will have no trouble knocking them over next week. Or they will lose. Unless it's a draw.
England impressive over the Wallabies, but New Zealand impressiver™ over the Irish.

That's the ninth time, is every World Cup, that Ireland have failed to make the semifinals, and this time despite being ranked #1 just a few weeks back
A nice gesture from the ref to score a try for them

Yeah, that's about it.
The CKBs look nigh on unbeatable, but England are building, getting better and should bring more next week than we did this week. We just can't afford to play the Kiwi game, and have to hope that Sir Eddie has something up his sleeve, a tactical shape which will force the White Ferns off their A game...
Alright...Wales-France? Maybe a bit more competitive. Japan has been boxing above their weight, but the Springboks should come away comfortably with the win.
I enjoyed both games today, a lot of quality rugby on display. Some good tries, some good defence.
Bring on tomorrow.
Wales
Bokks
I would love Japan to beat the Bokks (again). It'd be good for the tournament and world rugby. As 'Arry says, it'll likley be a Japan win, or perhaps the Bokks will win while there's always the possibility of a drawn match over 80 minutes then something else will happen - and that's final! (well, a quarter-final...)
Kiwis were always well on top.
But Australia had around 65% of possession, led at the start, were within a few points at half time and within a point or so early in the first half. Small moments in rugby can have big turn arounds. England were always the better team, but Australia held a threat, only in the last 20 minutes was the game done and dusted. Ireland were never at the races due to the Kiwis amazing start.
^ yes! Props with drop goals from 35 metres out. This makes as much sense as that Super Over
*grumble grumble bitterly grumbling*
;)
I'd like next week's semi-final to just be a super over. &, just like the cricket, we take their best player to be on our team for the super over...

Hope tomorrow is better than today...
