If we're talking Saturday, and she's Irish, then she'll be in such a fine mood that she's more likely to say yes! However, if she's a Kiwi, just a suggestion... but tears of sorrow and despair are not a good time for a marriage proposal...

If she's English she'll be delusional and off her scone on caffeine!

Pretty much as expected really:

All Blacks team to face Ireland:
Beauden Barrett, Sevu Reece, Jack Goodhue, Anton Lienert-Brown, George Bridge, Richie Mo'unga, Aaron Smith, Kieran Read, Sam Cane, Ardie Savea, Sam Whitelock, Brodie Retallick, Nepo Laulala, Codie Taylor, Joe Moody.
Reserves: Dane Coles, Ofa Tuungafasi, Angus Ta'avao, Scott Barrett, Matt Todd, TJ Perenara, Sonny Bill Williams, Jordie Barrett.
Incidentally the most one-sided of the quarter-finals on a purely rankings basis is Wales(2) v France(8) and Japan(7) v SA(5) is the closest.
Ireland is going to have to dig deep to keep up with the pace.
Go the All Blacks.
Massive clash of styles... One of the best defensive teams in the world against probably the best attacking one.Quote:

1) At one time, form and injury means he has faded somewhat and also something has to give since the selectors are sold on the twin-play maker tactic.Quote:

1) I like the twin playmaker idea too, England do it.
2) Nothing beats game time, game stress and strains. I predict he won't see the game through and won't be in the semi final - of course, there could be two reasons for that... :)
Your backline is good, but extremely inexperienced for a White Ferns backline; this will be a problem against the tougher teams. Caps beat talent at knock-out stages of world cups; ideally, you'd have both (like England)... :)
I know he's not dynamic, but if I were a White Ferns supporter, I'd really want that old, solid rock of a prop for this game with his 7,000+ caps and endless experience... Big mistake to leave him at home. Imagine Moody gets injured and Retallick is out then your front 5 starts to look very vulnerable - and that's for a team that has had the best front 5 for most of the last decade...
Ireland - ABs was the final I was hoping for.
I'd like to see the Oirish win the RWC but I don't want the ABs to lose so early, even worse will be the feedback from screaming Boo who obviously has a bug up his arse about getting beaten so many times.
:)
For Engerland - Aus, I think I'll just enjoy the rugby. Might even have leaning towards favouring the Poms. Games are more fun when you get invested in it. I reckon I'll see how I feel on the day.
:chitown:
^ all the games will be good 'uns, and whoever wins they'll be two excellent semis.
If England go out then I'd love to see an Ireland v Wales final as neither team has won the WC although they've both added so much to world rugby over many decades.
The Wobblies, surely.Quote:

:D
An Ireland v Australia semi should be a good game.
:smileylaughing:
See what I mean, he deserves it!
Can't argue that giving Betty shit isn't an enticing prospect. :)
But I would rather see ABs v Eng than ABs v Aus. Last year the Poms should have won that game against the ABs. The decision making by their captain at two crucial points let them down. I'd prefer a rerun of that game than watching the ABs give the Aussies another thrashing.
:tieme:
Massive call by Aust... Fullback/wing Jordan Petaia starting at unfamiliar position of outside center against England in only his 2nd test.
Funnily enough England defense coach John Mitchell could tell them a thing or two about playing a fullback out of position in a vital World Cup game... the cock.
OK, let's compare them to Sexton then Eddie...Quote:
Former Irish coach highlights how Ireland can take advantage of All Blacks
Former Irish coach Eddie O’Sullivan believes the All Blacks’ continued use of twin playmakers Beauden Barrett and Richie Mo’unga weakens their chances against Ireland in the Rugby World Cup quarterfinal tomorrow.
[...]
“Richie Mo’unga has not a great kicking game. He’s not as astute at exploiting (the space) in the back field. That’s good for us. Especially, if it’s wet.
“It’s another weakness. It’s hard to believe we’re talking about All Black weaknesses. But they don’t have a really front-line, high percentage place kicker. Mo’unga seems to be the one they go to more often when both of them are on the field. He seems a bit more reliable. But neither of them are lock steady.
“When you compare them to Sexton, if it comes down to a drop goal or a late penalty in a one-score game, that gives us an edge there. If you comes to that, I’d back us to win that sort of a battle in terms of the goal-kickers shooting it out.”...

...Whoops! :D
Funny how perceptions can become biases.
Let the (pre)games begin... :)
