Could be second on Saturday, with Leicester away, and the bonus of an early kick off. The depth of quality in the squad is manifesting itself more and more, with only 2 of those who started against Leeds in last nights line up.

^ Yup, a win, like the 3rd/4th/5th battle at the end of last season, would see them in 2nd, 2 points clear of 3rd with a game in hand.

Certainly United can match City for quality these days, so it will be down to individual performances on the day. With offensive players like Martial, Rashford, Cavani and Greenwood and the creativity and finishing of Fernandes (Bruno) there will be goals for sure.

The Wonderkid coming in from Italy in January too.

Well, Cavzy will be well rested for the Liverpool game.

Big game today against a good Villa side. They haven't won at OT since 2009 but they did take a point last year.

I think we're in a race for the top 4 rather than any genuine title challenge, given our defence, but it's the best we've been since Fergie and wno knows what could happen if we build up a head of steam?

I agree, but I just see a couple of teams managing to be less inconsistent than we are over the 38 games. Providing we keep playing the football we are and pick up a trophy (we fucking need one) as well as CL football, it will be a good season IMO. Strengthen the back 4 in the summer and then I'd hope we were ready for a proper tilt next year.
