United XI vs Forest: Onana (liability); Wan-Bissaka (crap), Varane (broken), Martinez (too small), Dalot (who?); Casemiro (too old), Eriksen (too lazy), Fernandes (too whiney); Antony (crap), Rashford (over rated), Martial (League 1 player).

You might get a draw with that lot, at home, against the worst team in the league...

That '15' at the top of the screen? Is that the minutes gone in the match?

Only 15 minutes and 2-0 down?

And to think I was worried about how Bristol City would do in the Premier League when they get promoted.

Are we still allowed to call someone a big black bastard if it's a compliment?

    Agreed.

Never seen an English team qualified for the Champion's League play such inept football in my life.

For the first goal in particular it was like watching a primary school team.

Never saw Blackburn, Leeds, Spurs etc then?

Now that the bravado (and relief) has passed, I will concede that we could be playing better.

    But we are still winning.

And that's the name of the game.

    Yesterday in pictures:

Pre match Stella before getting the tram to the Theatre.

I'd only eaten three times in 2 days so it was time for a pre match burger.

    Bacon looks good

For the princely sum of 7 fucking pounds!

    Manchester Utd-20230826-144530-jpg

Walking down the Warwick Road to see...that Snubby has opened his own fish and chips place (wild salmon, of course).

    Manchester Utd-20230826-145235-jpg

The famous and feared forecourt, which away fans would creep through, is now full of tourists taking pictures and having their pictures taken in front of the Megastore.

    Manchester Utd-20230826-145343-jpg

    Home sweet home

    Manchester Utd-20230826-145925-jpg

    Do I not like that!

    Manchester Utd-20230826-151244-jpg

Come on Bruno, don't miss this!

    Manchester Utd-20230826-163445-jpg

    Goal!

    Manchester Utd-20230826-163531-jpg

Now the scoreboard is looking better!

    Manchester Utd-20230826-163832-jpg

Full time and another 3 points as crisis club United sit just 1 point off the leaders.

    Manchester Utd-20230826-170359-jpg

A couple of pints watching Brighton get destroyed by David Moyes and then it was time for the tram home and a(nother) curry.

Shout out to Antony yesterday. The only one of our forwards who pressed and tracked his man back.

He put in a hell of a shift and he gets in some great positions and looks dangerous too...

...unfortunately that's where the good news ends.

There's a very bizarre rumour gaining traction on Twatter that Bayern are interested in Scott McTominay and would like to swap him on loan for Ryan Gravenberch. Now confirmed by a BILD journalist.

The problem with Scott is that his first touch is often as far as some people can kick a ball, but he is physical, energetic and gets the odd goal now and then.

Actually similar to the the kind of player we need at the moment - if he was able to control and pass the ball a bit better - and which Gravenberch hopefully is, having come through at Ajax.

This could work out very nicely.

Mordor with a superstore, but impressive that they can get so many related people in one place at once

see the mancunian skyline is as cheerful as ever. Still good prep for when you go east.

That burger at $7 was a raping (and with no tomato ketchup to ease it in...).

An absolute raping, yes, but the tomato ketchup is hidden in the bun with American mustard.

A classic combo that's almost as good as Yorke and Cole.

Instead of using the shelf though, I held the burger in my hand and squeezed them in - schoolboy error - meaning that they slipped to the bottom of the burger and I ended up with loads of it in the last bites!

Some old boy was stood in a bus stop and he could see my face as I was eating it. "A bit tangy?" he asked.

    Just a bit mate.
