Hatton was at the Liam Gallagher gig a few days before and was in good spirits. Down at Retox for the Bruno gig, he was on more than a few pints if you get my meaning.

Not doing a Dilly, but was there to witness first hand.

Hatton is well known for his nose sherbert use.

Proper Man City Fan along with Liam.

Bet those two had a mega party in Pattaya.

Big Frank looking really good. How's he holding up mentally these days?

A guy I knew had a bet on Hatton becoming world Champ six years before it happened made a fortune from it, another tip I missed out on.

Never the most agile of heavyweights, but he did win the real world title, the WBC, against the dangerous Oliver McCall who'd knocked out Lennox Lewis a year before (I saw that from ringside, Lewis did win the rematch 2yrs later when McCall had a nervous breakdown in the ring)

I was doing a private party in Maida Vale that night. I set up, made sure the client saw me then my mate Lawrence turned up and took over. Got a minicab to Wembley Arena. Missed all but one of the undercard fights but saw the main spectacle.

Blessing in disguise for Lewis though. He fired his trainer Pepe Correra after that and hooked up with Emanuel Steward, who ironically was in the opposite corner as he'd trained Oliver McCall for that fight.
