Wasn't it just. I thought exactly the same at the time with my friend Mr Pilsner.

I can't watch that game without ale- my nerves are still in bits!

I dunno what beer you two were drinking but Ronaldo? You didnt even see Rooney emulated (overhead kick)
Two long balls for Man U's goals and the rest of the game was about surrounding Mo Salah.

    Salah was on the pitch?

I thought he was in Ashley Young's pocket.

England could have a seriously good attacking three for the WC with Kane, and Rashford and Sterling on the left and right.

A good result by Leicester yesterday to help West Brom in their deserved relegation quest.

Good. I hope they get relegated.

I've never forgiven them for 1992.

The Manure circle jerk, I can feel the positivity

Scousers had double the possession and double the shots on target.
Liverpool were denied a penalty, Manure were very fooking lucky and the fans are over the blue moon.
Just goes to show how desperate they are for any glory, sad hasbeens.

Remember was doing the refits on the B&Q stores in Rutherglen and Paisly, 4 weeks in each in 1991, was an old firm match on so thought we'd all stay out the city centre and stay in a local bar near our digs. Big mistake as apparently the centre was quiet while bar we were in which had been using near enough nightly for 2 weeks previous and were loved by all due to money putting in the till had a couple of nutters come in with hammers with ensuing mayham, all calmed down with only one person hospitalised, landlord all apologetic and bought us all some drinks. Then about an hour later blokes who had been attacked with the hammers came back with knives and two were stabbed in the bar. Pub was shut then for the night!!!!! Fucking hate Glasgow, love Edinburgh for a night out though never had or seen any trouble there.

I'm watching Arsenal and they are winning again.

Something strange is going on. Of course there is still ample opportunity for them to fuck it up.

I went up there back in 95 for Paul McStay's testimonial against United.

We bumped into a few Celtic fans in Glasgow before the game and then went our separate ways. Afterwards, walking back through the East End where a Celtic fan had had his throat slashed by Rangers fans a few weeks previously, I got split up from our lot and ended up in a bar on my jacks in the city centre. Amazingly, the lads who we'd had a drink with before the game were in there and one of them said I could crash at his if the auld man agreed. I got back to this well-smart apartment in the city centre and his dad was on the sofa, so we opened a beer and got chatting about football before his dad said "son, what school did you go to in Manchester?"

I thought it was a bit weird, but said "Saint..." before he cut me off and said "you can stay."

Nerves still a bit fraught from watching Huddersfield Town squander a multitude (28 shots at goal) of chances against a 10-man Swansea on Saturday night.

Despite being gifted a silly red card (Huddy player equally culpable) in the early part of the game, Terriers fluffed a load of chances and a gimme 3-pointer. Swansea it must be said, defended like fucking demons and their goalie deserves an OBE.
These are the games that should be won if they want to stay in the big boy's league.

    I read that this morning.

That'll be some ankle injury...keeping him out for 3 months+

I guess it's just about possible if he's ruptured the ligaments, but seems unlikely to me at the minute.

Then again, I know as much about ankle injuries as Shitty apparently knows about teaching English, of course.

Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher's been a bit silly.

Was this the greenie that cost a million quid a year?

btw...is it one goal and one assist for Sanchez in half a dozen games now?

on the left...on the right...as a number ten...not really working, is it.

Not done a great deal going forward, but it'll come. He's putting a proper shift in in the meantime though.

Daft from Carragher. Why rise to the bait?
