how you liking your super team, ao?
I would like to watch the Sonics again. They will return to Seattle, but when is not known.
Investor Chris Hansen has shown he and his investor team are serious. They've bought large tracks of property.
I have not followed the NBA since the Sonics left. I cannot "adopt" another team.
might be waiting a while for another sonics team.

It certainly seems that way.
For what it's worth, Russel Wilson symbolically joined the "Bring the Sonics back" campaign, although it's about the local politics anyway.
I would watch the vast majority of Sonics games if a team returns.
I dabbled with following - or trying to follow the Trailblazers but can't bring myself to do it. It's not the same.
Addendum:
RW might be putting in some money. Not sure what this means. There has been an issue with the Port of Seattle. I've long forgotten the details.
Russell Wilson announces he has partnered with Sonics Arena group

Russell Wilson ✔ @DangeRussWilson
I'm excited to announce I've partnered w/ the Sonics Arena Group to help bring the @NBA & @NHL to the best fan base in the world.
Seattle.

Chris Daniels has the full story on KING5.com.
Russell Wilson joins SODO arena group | KING5.com
"We couldn’t be more thrilled that Russell is joining our partnership and continued efforts to bring the NBA and NHL back to Seattle," said Chris Hansen. "As you are all aware, we have always kept our focus on doing this for the right reasons – Our love for our City, our love of basketball, and our belief that pro-sports has the ability to positively influence our youth and bring communities together in a way very few things in this world can. It is with this shared view that we welcome Russell, a young, smart and passionate entrepreneur, as our business partner. We know that his enthusiasm, positivity, and 'never give up' attitude will make a huge difference in our effort."
"In our efforts to bring a world class arena to Seattle, we are fortunate to have added a fantastic partner. Russell embodies the positive impact that sports provide a community. We can’t wait to work with him in our pursuit," Walker said.
According to Daniels's sources, Wilson and the group have been in talks for several weeks. Wilson has been none too secretive about wanting to help bring a team back to Seattle, once tweeting "what do I have to do" to help. I guess he found out.
Hold on to your butts for this next part. One of Daniels's sources also said that Wilson "is prepared to do that" when asked about campaigning for the movement at City Hall.
Thank you, Russ.
Alaska Airlines, one of the Port of Seattle’s biggest customers with whom Wilson has an endorsement deal, tweeted out their excitement for the news.

Still teamless in Seattle.
I cannot follow the Trailblazers.
The Lakers and Knicks are improved, Dallas and Miami are terrible.
Other than that, 2016-17 is looking a lot like a repeat of last season.
Alright!
About an hour ago I subscribed to NBA League Pass, and am very happy so far. It's well done and displayed.
I watched some of the Lakers v. Heat game (where the Lakers blew a 19-point lead for the second game in a row).
Lakers are in a rough stretch and have been for a while. I like watching some of the players.
Because we are teamless in SeattleI'm going to adopt the Portland Trailblazers as my team. Paul Allen is the owner and Kevin Calabro is calling games (he did it for the Sonics).
So, there is geographic similarity and two fellas in involved.
I'll get familiar with the players.
It feels good to watch NBA again.

I had to change my decision.
Why?
Because to get NBA League Pass I have to follow a team (just the way I do things). I need a steady rock.
I cannot follow a team far from my roots, so I had to change my decision and follow the Blazers.
Hypocrisy? No.
Indecisive? No.
Adaptable? Yes.
I've watched 2 Lakers games and saw the 4th quarter of the Celtics lose to OKC.
A poster here noted the NBA was "fun."
I see this too. Fans in Boston having fun and the NBA seems to have the "fun" theme going.
^ Just like preferring college football over the NFL the same goes for basketball.
Go Zags!
I liked Dr J as a kid. Players back then seemed to have more class, generally speaking. Or, perhaps it was because I was young.
I've always respected David Robinson. Yup, he's a Navy man.
The Spurs have always had a "good look." They're having a good start to the season.
more of the same, ao. whats the excuse this time for mr overrated curry? he missed a layup...didnt get the same lift...must be hurt![]()
If I'm not mistaken none of the 5 championships under Pops were back-to-back, right? They were all spread out over the last 15+ years. Reflective of a pretty solid organization IMHO.Originally Posted by Cold Pizza

Harden was smokin'
HOUSTON -- Minutes after collecting 53 points, 17 assists and 16 rebounds in his second straight triple-double, Houston's James Harden was asked what it has been like to play in new coach Mike D'Antoni's system.
"It's been a dream so far," Harden said.
It looked more like a nightmare to the short-handed New York Knicks after Harden powered the Rockets to a 129-122 win on Saturday night.
James Harden has historic night in whatis looking like MVP season
James Harden posted a triple-double Saturday that is unmatched in NBA history, showing again how well Mike D'Antoni's offense suits his game.
Harden is first in history with 50-15-15 game
James Harden ties Wilt Chamberlain for most points in a triple-double, and that's not all. Check out the numbers from Saturday's three triple-doubles.
"It was like NBA 2K numbers," New York's Brandon Jennings said, comparing Harden's performance to the video game. "I just told him afterward to just go and get the MVP and keep balling and doing what he's doing."
Harden became the first player in NBA history to have at least 50 points, 15 assists and 15 rebounds in a single game, according to information provided by the Rockets from the Elias Sport Bureau. He also tied Wilt Chamberlain for most points in a triple-double, set career highs for points and 3-pointers with nine and matched his career best for assists.
He passed his previous career best of 51 points on a 3 with 1:16 left, leading to a standing ovation.
