DE BRUYNE INJURY UPDATE
Kevin De Bruyne suffered a groin injury in the win over Everton and will miss tonight’s game against Dinamo Zagreb.
The extent of his layoff depends on how well he responds to the rehabilitation programme overseen by the Club’s medical staff.
The Belgian has been superb for City so far this season, registering a remarkable nine assists in nine games.
Everyone at City wishes Kevin a speedy recovery and we all look forward to seeing back in blue soon.
No-one gives a shit as you have a bunch of reserves worth gazillions, you silly plastic.
Etihad Stadium after he grabbed the final goal in City’s 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb.
The young midfielder emerged from the bench to make sure of the victory against the Croatians, whose resolute defending made life difficult for the hosts.
City spurned several chances in the first half, but watching on from the substitutes bench, Foden was unconcerned and he was delighted to add his name to the score sheet after Raheem Sterling’s opener.
“You never write this team off,” he said.
“I always have the feeling, watching or playing, that we’re going to score because our attack’s unbelievable.
“We believe that as well and I think that’s the main thing, that we always keep going to the end and believe in ourselves.
“There’s no better feeling than scoring here at the Etihad in front of my fans and City’s fans. It’s just an unbelievable feeling and I can’t describe it.
“We’re looking very strong but we can’t let this slip now. We’ve just got to keep going and wanting to win every game. That’s the standards we set here and that’s the aim.”
Get in there Dingles!!

That's absolutely hilarious.
Poor old Chitty will be crying into his shandy.
The defeat to Wolves on Sunday has left City eight points adrift of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
Our local paper have urged calm as we look to close that gap, while former City defender Micah Richards has been discussing possible tactical adjustments.
It’s time for this morning’s Media Watch…
OPINION
Manchester Evening News: Three reasons for Man City to be calm in Premier League title race after Wolves defeat
Simon Bajkowski writes: “No team has ever been eight points clear after only eight games. That's nearly a quarter of the Premier League campaign but at the same time both optimists and pessimists have to conclude it is too early for anything to have been decided.
“City have come back from worse situations before (including last season) and Liverpool have lost it from better positions. The Merseysiders remain the only club in the last 11 seasons to have been top at Christmas and failed to win the title - and they've done it three times.
“Last season, City gained eight more points than Liverpool from the beginning of January so the size of the gap between the two currently should not be overegged.”
BBC Radio 5 Live: Monday Night Club
Micah Richards says: "It will be interesting to see if he brings Kyle Walker into the centre-back role only because I watched the game and Man City had a lot of the ball but on the counter attack Wolves looked very dangerous.
"The only thing I fear for Liverpool is if they pick up a couple of injuries. Man City are a bit short in the defensive area at the moment but as a contrast if Liverpool lost Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino they would just not be the same team,"

Sky Sports News: Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk not looking at Man City points gap
Virgil van Dijk says: "So far we have been getting the points.
"There is always room for improvement in our game. And I think we should just focus on all the games ahead of us and don't look at any gaps or points or difference between us and the others, including City.
"There are a lot of busy periods coming up as well with December and January and anything can happen still."
Micah Richards says: "It will be interesting to see if he brings Kyle Walker into the centre-back role", thus demonstrating what we already knew, which is that Micah Richards is fucking clueless.

With international football taking centre stage this week, you’d be forgiven for thinking City news would be thin on the ground.
However, there’s plenty floating around the media this morning, including a slice of transfer gossip.
City are reportedly targeting a new defender in January – and a new book dissecting Pep Guardiola’s time in charge of City lifts the lid on a key meeting he and Sergio Aguero had back in January 2017.
Here’s this morning’s City-centric headlines…

“The right-footed Benfica youth product is 6ft1in and has 13 full international caps with Portugal.
“He is under contract until 2024 at the Estádio da Luz, where he has made 78 appearances.”

Raheem Sterling says: “[Winning with England] is something I think about all the time — especially after coming so close at the 2018 World Cup and having such a good run.

PEP’S PLEDGE
Sport Bible: Foden not for sale – even for £500m
Jack Kenmare writes: “Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed Phil Foden is the one player at the club who will not be sold - not even for a world record fee of €500 million.
“The 19-year-old midfielder, who is a lifelong City supporter, signed a long-term contract extension at the end of last year.
“He may not get many first team minutes but it's clear Guardiola holds the youngster in high regard.
‘We didn't give Foden a new contract by accident,’ Guardiola said in an extract from a new book titled: 'Pep's City: The Making of a Superteam'.
‘He is the only player that can't be sold under any circumstances - the only one. Not even for 500m.
‘Phil's going nowhere - Phil IS City. We won't be signing anyone else for that position.’

Football Fancast: A ‘'Hare and the Tortoise' scenario?
Vijievan Jeevathayalan writes: “But whilst the signs appear to be against them, City do have one thing the Reds do not. Experience. The know-how of grinding your way for the full 38 games and digging out victories in the most difficult of times.
“Whilst Jurgen Klopp ended his own personal trophy hoodoo at Anfield by clinching the Champions League last season, their best efforts at winning their first league title in more than a couple of decades has fallen short.
“Despite the departure of Vincent Kompany, City boast a squall full of talent who have played major roles in their back-to-back Premier League triumphs. Whether it’s players in the first-team like Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero, or less high-profile players like Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, the Etihad side are brimming with title-winning experience.”
I think they mean Zim dollars. He reminds me of Franny Jeffers.
