About having some Thai thief owning one of your premiere footy teams?

No big deal. When you drive German or American cars, drink French water, and the biggest soccer teams in the land are owned by a Russian and an American, this is a mere bagatelle.

I have just been reading all your comments on Ricky Hattons fight with, Juan Orango, and how you all knocked him, saying he was lucky etc etc, and he has got nothing left. yet he has just won his latest fight by a knockout body blow in the 4th round.
Now I am comparing all your comments, on how Manchester City will fare now that"Frank Sinatra" has taken over. I'm sure you will be wrong about this also. Watch this space.

This is gonna end in tears for city fans. Is he not beong sent back to thai?? how will they get this past the FA, with recent problems and court cases going on surely they will want it all squeeky clean. im pretty sure they have to sanction any take over. ive seen quotes on sky saying hes throwing 80million at the club immediatly. problem they have is any top player who would cost 10-20 mil is not gonna want to play for city. they will more than likely have there pic of london clubs or if they wanna go north head to united, liverpool or newcastle.
citys problem will surely be attracting big players.
although if sven comes who knows??

    COME ON YOU WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a cunning plan, might piss the city supporters off a little bit though

While it's not "chump change".toksin has some very wealthy and influential mates all over the globe. On a UK radio broadcast he said something like "I am only putting in 22 mil of my own,the rest is from friends"

    just the 22 lol
that would buy wolves 5 new teams and a new stadium.
something doesnt seem to fit right i dont understand why city??
surely spurs, newcstle, villa, everton, even pompy and blackburn would have been better ideas.
or for a bit more of a challenge southampton, cracking stadium big ish club and could buy for peanuts.

Rumour has it that there are requests from the present Thai Interim Goverment to extradite him from the UK to answer fraud charges here . In which case he wouldnt be making to many management decisions regarding Manchester City !

I think the move is definately politiacally motivated - along with other motives designed at saving toxin's arse ....and gaining some face at the same time..

As far as it being a bad bisiness choice to buy MC, i don't think so.

If Thaksin goes ahead and sets up the international recruiting camps i presume they will be mostly in asia ..... he has the power and wealth to have the team name plastered across the region .... i bet there are already some of his supporters in the north wanting MC jerseys.. bollocks to good players not wanting to play for any team that offers them big $$$$$ ....... which is what toxin is good at. buying people.

I had a laugh at this one at the BBC site tonight
Harris is adamant the charges facing Thaksin in Thailand will have no bearing on his bid for the Premier League club.

"The charges levelled against him are politically motivated by a military government that is unelected.

"He was the Prime Minister there and was exceptionally popular. He was also a successful businessman.
box head couldn't have said it better himself........ What's the bet Harris just got a bundle under the table handed to him..
