Good goal, well deserved win.
Good goal, well deserved win.
Good stuff from the Jerries.
Didn't think the Argies were good enough to win it.
For the remainder of this year I expect every other Thai kid will now be named "Benz".
Thankfully England didn't win it or they would have been named "Rooney". What's your name? "Looney".
I wonder. Did the England team have tickets for the final before they flew out there or did they fly home to watch it on TV?
I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.
I though Argentina lacked something without Di Maria in the final two games.
Shame., but the better team won. Nicely taken goal.
Wasn't convinced with Messi's award for best player in the tournament.
I think you'll find they watched the Round of 16 on their TV's at home.Originally Posted by Thormaturge

Luiz Felipe Scolari: Brazil coach 'resigns' after World Cup 2014
Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has resigned after his country's failure to win the 2014 World Cup, reports Brazilian broadcaster Globo TV.
Scolari, 65, won the tournament in 2002 but his side could only finish fourth when hosting this year's event
CONGRATULATIONS to Germany on winning the worlds 2nd biggest trophy in football (after the League 1 play-offs 2010).
I'm glad YOU won - not just because.
I have many more dear and close friends in Germany than I do in Argentina
I feel this is vindication for the DDR team of 74 - Sparwasser
Of the poor quality of Argentinian Corned Beef over recent years
The Argentinian manager was once at Leeds United - tho that is quite a big reason not to want them to win
Or because I prefer Kraftwerk to Tango.
NOT even because I am a massive fan of Bavarian Lager - but have never yet tasted a good lager from Buenos Aires
But because I think Mario Götze had the most AMAZING side burns in the final.
and I think that in this day and age. That is a big deal.

No, really...?
No bias, typical keeper over look.. Definitely deserved over Messi, I'd even put Klose in that nomination given his contributions and his record goal scoring achievement.. More accomplishment than Messi by a wide margin just as many goals too, not certain how many assists to go with it.. Was an excellent volley shot by super Mario let's all celebrate by ogling his lady..
Lucky b'stid, bet he had unspeakable fun after the game..

I watched the losers game in the Augustiner Keller Munich....but no chance of getting in there for the final. Had to go to Hirschgarten...but still an excellent time had. The Argentine disallowed goal got the crowd dumbstruck followed by elation when the flag went up....Originally Posted by Chittychangchang

Fully agree - he is an important player for them, links midfield to attack, frees space for Messi. I reckon they'd have won if he'd played.Originally Posted by Bobcock
Prolly not JUST him...
Changing of the guard? Holding dominion....??
German national side is still quite youthful - the greater core group.
It's possible.
