Carlton seems to be getting all the media spin, but to my way of thinking Port have been the outstanding disappointment this year. So far, anyway.

Both of them have been very up and down with results, but i agree they'll be there at the end..... Nat Fyfe over in Freo is a class above most so far this season....

The hawks really have come good and the Eagles keep getting results when many thought they would fade.

I still think if Freo come back to form they will be tough to beat, they are not playing well but they keep winning.... and they only have WC and Port Adelaide of any note to play in the regular season....

Does any one have a different view of the Goodes saga than me, to my mind he is not a blackfella or a whitefella he is a footballer , how is booing him more racist than him directing a "war dance" and finishing with pretending to throw a spear at the crowd. The KIwis have their haka but that is directed at the opposition, if it is not liked the opposition have a chance to try to nail a few of them, the crowd has only one option to show their displeasure.

Goodes lost the plot when a 13 yo girl called him an ape. He made a real mountain out of it and hence ever since has faced the ire of all opposing fans.

Soccer players take verbal all the time without threatening to retire because they have taken a bit of stick.
