Already said it betty post#69 or are you just being obtuse ? For someone who professes to know a lot about R U and has to ask was the last world- cup really in 2011 and can't remember which year his team was in the final with SA starts me thinking maybe you don't know as much as you'd like to know and would benefit greatly from brushing up on his rugby knowledge.....ie Scotland haven't been the worst performers in the 6 nations over the last 5 years.....You could start by checking that one out.
I feel pretty much the same about England.Originally Posted by jamiejambos
Scotland, like Ireland have a newish coach and you would hope he can bring the best out of a group with some emerging talent. Historically you have done well with a world class full back like Irvine or Hastings. That goes for other countries too. Look at Wales with JPR and Halfpenny. SA with Montgomery, Ireland under Kiernan and France with the sublime Blanco.
Happy to predict
France v England - England by 10 points
Heart of Gold and a Knob of butter.
Ian Evans sent off last night. Could rule him out of the 6N which would give Wales a problem.

trampling on heads
long ban for sure
no 6 nations for ianto

....
^very silly, didn't see the game, so can't put it in context, but doesn't look good from that.
Northampton were average (although the french champions are obviously a decent team). The downside for me was that the big centre that has been promoted into the England squad look poor with regard to positioning, skillset, options; not good enough...
I've never professed to know a lot, I just like the game and follow the game; have been going to live matches and watching on TV, going on rugby tours, even playing sometimes (badly) for over 30 years.Originally Posted by jamiejambos
Really??? Equal points with Italy over the last 5 years, a third of the points as the other 4 teams, you think you're doing well??? If England were doing the same as a minnow such as Italy then I'd say England were doing worse, maybe the fact that you don't shows where you place Scotland; understandable...Originally Posted by jamiejambos
Now, any chance you're gonna comment on the rugby because I find you tedious... Trolling around looking for arguments may please you, but I find it boring. Comment on the topic then i will engage...
Cycling should be banned!!!
Looks like you don't like being proved wrong betty like most English men. I don't troll threads looking for arguments. You were the one who responded to my posts and not vica-versa and the first one to resort to abusive language, YES.
To answer a few more of your points- never mentioned that I think Scotland are doing well or where I place them. Looks like your maths is not up to scratch either
because over the last 5 years Scotland points tally beats Italy by one. I'm starting to find it tedious and boring correcting all the rugby mistakes you keep making and misinformation you keep posting.
Maybe better if you don't engage...save you from embarrassing yourself.
Here is some more rugby trivia for you betty.
Wooden-spoon holders over the last five years -
Scotland-1
France -1
Italy -3
Just out of interest have you played the game?Originally Posted by Bettyboo

as well as on TD.
and you have just exposed yourself as a troll winding up a poster who seems to me to have a genuine love for the gameOriginally Posted by jamiejambos

Don't let it stop you being a lady on my account, so why don't you go away and try your childish baiting on another thread Mrs Newbie
You're out of your depth on this one.

Thankfully my local only has one TV, and it will be showing proper football, rather than the Eton toffs version where the players started picking the ball up and running away to stop the scholarship working class lads kicking the shit out of them.
Bruce is a sportsman, Jamie. He makes interesting comments on the sports threads and shows a depth of knowledge. You, ontheotherhand, are a grumpy old troll.
I watched Edinburgh yesterday, did you Mr Scottish Sportsfan? I also watched Saracens, my local team (although I wasn't good enough to play for them, I played for Finchley... My brother was good enough though, played for Leicester, played in NZ, etc). I also watched Leicester yesterday get beaten by Ulster. Ulster look like a good team, and could have a chance of the cup this year.
I reckon Saracens will give them a run for their money in the quarter finals though...
