You really think Tan isn't in it to make cash? Course he is.

It's a 5 or so year turnaround project for him I'd say. Establish the team as a PL club, build up the stadium, all on cash borrowed against the club so far, and sell it. Whether the debt is turned to equity prior to that? Who knows...

    fair points

like many others, i felt incredibly piddled off after saturday's performance ... i'm not sure why because i could see it coming

malky's comments after the game left me incredulous

'i'd be worried if we weren't creating chances'

i saw campbell's after 3 minutes...great save by speroni.. but we created absolutely nothing after that..

palace are also effectively a championship team and we handed it to them less any dog

i'm struggling to see where the next point is coming from leave alone the 26 odd we need to guarantee survival
teams below us look like they are on an upward trajectory

    something radical needs to happen

either mackay needs to do it himself or someone will do it for him

We got a draw away to Stoke, put in a good performance against the best team in the division in Arsenal (the scoreline flattered them) and we deserved to beat ManYoo in the 2-2 draw. Like the Newcastle game (in which we only turned up in the second half), that Palace game just showed how even shithouses like Palace can have good games if we're not on it. I feel you're being far too negative.

We've got 4 more games this year, three of which are at home. I think we can pull a draw or two from West Brom and Southampton and beat Sunderland. 4-5 points will keep us out of the relegation spots at the halfway spot and hopefully we'll bring that width in in January. If we only get 0-1 from these next 4 then I'll be worried.

Yes, surely Tan will be following the Thaksin model rather than the Swansea one.

The profit coming not from income exceeding expenditure, but from another Asian or Asians coming in and paying silly money because the 'product', very much 'a premiership football club' rather than particularly 'Cardiff City FC' has risen in desirability (it can't really be called 'value') principally due to the premiership bubble getting bigger in Asia.

In that scenario balancing the books isn't really the point.

I have rather a lot of experience in this with West Brom and that has to be the biggest worry.

I know it's kind of obvious but it's worth stressing. Survival depends on there being three teams more shit than you.

And we will have cause to worry about that too if we lose at the weekend.

Palace have made a spot on appointment for their circumstances, Sunderland will have money to spend in January and that defence will look pretty good if it can avoid injuries ... none of the teams look destined for the drop yet. Though that is partly because teams like Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea have been dropping so many points.

wonder if that will prevent kiwi from captaining him?

could be good news for robin though

united have scored only 8 times at home this season
only 8 teams in the entire football league have scored fewer

    one of them is cardiff

Rooney hauls of 13, 11 and 12 for the past 3 away games.

Being away from the pressure of old trafford against bottom 5 teams seems to suit him.

Doesn't happen again until the end of February, though.

Fuck that. The only ManYoo attacking player worth having is Rooney and I can't afford him. Hernandez could end up scoring this GW, he might be replaced by Kagawa, or ManYoo could end up losing 2 - 0. Either way, he has been fucked off.
