I don't think Froch wanted another tough battle against a younger guy with something to prove... I don't see that there are any fights out there for Froch. Retire.

    Shame that.

I think froch is the better fighter. Groves got under his skin big time and Carl was fortunate to get what he did.

He may well have finished him later that round but the ref robbed us of that. His reaction afterwards kind of smacks of Lewis Klitshko (sp).

Yeah I partly agree BB but at the end of the day its all about Money ain't it, if Froch will not give Groves a return then I think he'll go for one last big money fight and then hang em up.

Froch is talking about a rematch with Andre Ward, saying its the only loss he hasn't avenged. He won't go up to 175 (light heavy) for money fights against Adonis Stevenson, Sergey Kovalev, or BHop.
Felix Sturm of Germany just became a 4th time champ, knocking out UK's Darren Barker in the 2nd round of their IBF Middleweight championship fight. Sturm obviously didn't want to leave this one up to the judges.

I'd be interested to see if Golovkin moves up a weight. I know he's a little bit unproven but I think he could clean out that division. Scary punching power.

If Frosch doesn't give Groves a re-match then shame on him and will stick with him a dodger.
Darren Barker got a discolated hip so no wonder he folded in Rd. 2 to the Bosnian.
Of all the places in a ring to get injured....no more answers on a postcard please.

If you get a chance look at the matches from the weekend. The best was Shawn Porter beating Deven Alexander decisively. Porter was undefeated but had never had a shot, he made the most of it. Only got the shot because Amir Khan backed out of the fight hoping to get Mayweather.

I hope so it will be Floyds first knock out in a while.

Yeah AO young Shawn fought a great fight ,pressure pressure pressure!, Alexander looked pretty busted up when the final bell rang ,Shawn must train like a mad dog cos at the end of the fight he would not have blown a candle out, his breathing was that perfect ,in regards to "Money Mayweather" he appears to be rather coy on who is next opponent will be ,but would not be surprised if its not "Amir Glassjaw" here is the interview Mayweather: Pacquiao is 1-2 in His Last 3, My Focus is 5/3 - Boxing News

Yes, a big upset there. The best fight at the weekend sounded like it was the James Kirkland v Glen Tapia slugfest: Wolfe unleashes the beast in Kirkland - Boxing Blog - ESPN

Tapia's corner and the referee have come in for criticism for not stopping the fight after a battering in the 5th round, letting their fighter out for the 6th to take a damaging amount of punishment from the heavy-handed Kirkland.

Ann Wolfe was a bit of a beast herself watch this one punch KO of previously unbeaten Vonda Ward

^Yep. I'd love to see Maidana beat the living shit out of Broner. The guy tries to be a more brash and vulgar version of his icon Maywaether Jr, but as his last fight with Paulie Malinaggi proved, he certainly ain't no Mayweather..

Thurman and Santa Cruz on the undercard is a biiiig bonus as well. Looking forward to this one also.

It was a great card piwanoi. So nice to see Broner get comprehensively beaten. For once the judges got it right.

Keith Thurman looked very good as well. Just a nice card with Leo Santa Cruz looking as sharp as always. Good knockout by Shumanov as well.

Yeah AO an excellent bill all round ,of course the Iceing on the cake was seeing Bronner tasting canvas twice, I was very impressed by Keith Thurman, his opponent Soto Karass must have a jaw of granite even though he eventually got stopped , Thurman V Medina for a match eh !!!, the welter weight division is chock full of talent with Shane Porter coming to the fore too ,I can't really believe that Amir Glass jaw is on the short list to fight the "Pacman" when he's never fought at welter with so much talent around ,what can one say about Santa Cruz?, the perfect box fighter ,having said that I think that the Cuban Rigonduex will have the measure of him if they ever meet , meanwhile on the domestic front at super Bantam Carl Frampton V Scott Quigg will fill any stadium to the rafters were ever its fought on home soil ,all in all its been a great year for us boxing purists, and I have every reason to believe 2014 will be just as good , and a merry Christmas and a happy New year to you all

Blue you could have watched the fight live on your PC ,have a look at my two posts 187 and one 189 for the info, if you have ADblock on your "puter" you will have to close it whilst watching otherwise it won't come on ,I just wonder how many people were upset at seeing Broner get his "comeupence", the guy is a good fighter no doubt about it but his attitude is all wrong .

Great to see that fucking muppet Broner get a spanking yesterday. He pretended to dry-hump Maidana in the 1st and got his own arse handed back to him: Broner vs Maidana highlights: Humping! Knee-knocking knockdowns! ACTING! Revenge humping! - Bad Left Hook

Keith Thurman proved he is probably the next star at Welter. Hope he gets to fight Maidana next.

Yeah Kmart your prayers were answered and so was every one else's, as stated previously the Welter division is chock full of talent at this moment in time ,credit to Soto Karass though cos some of the shots he stopped would have KO'd a heavyweight , yep 2014 is going to be another great year for us fight buffs ,just sorry that De La Hoya has finished up in Re Hab ,lets all hope he pulls through from his terrible addiction ,which sadly often goes with being a "success" in life .

Well well well what a surprise! ,if Maidana has taken some illegal substance he's only himself to blame , he's been a pro long enough to know the rules, personally I do not think viewing video footage will be enough to prove chicanery ,a full blood test etc should be ordered ,problem is he's back in Argentina and whatever he was aledged to have taken might not show up now .Boxing News | Formal investigation into cheating allegations for Broner/Maidana fight
