Any one out there knows if the Pacquiao V Algieri fight is on TV over the weekend ? I have a notion that being there's a Thai fighting for a World title as part of the bill that it could be on Thai TV, any info would be welcomed

    Nov. 22

At Macau (HBO PPV): Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri, 12 rounds, for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title; Zou Shiming vs. Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym, 12 rounds, WBO flyweight eliminator; Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo, 12 rounds, for Lomachenko's WBO featherweight title; Jessie Vargas vs. Antonio DeMarco, 12 rounds, for Vargas' WBA "regular" junior welterweight title; Jerwin Ancajas vs. TBA, 8 rounds, junior bantamweights; Rex Tso vs. Espinos Sabu, 8 rounds, junior bantamweights; Kuok Kun Ng vs. Stephen Attard, 6 rounds, junior middleweights; Qu Peng vs. Andrew Robinson, 4 or 6 rounds, light heavyweights
All Pacman's fights are normally on Thai channel 7. I'm sure True will have it, and maybe even CTH on the "Fight" channel.

There are 2 Thais fighting in world title bouts, so Channel 7 is a shoo-in.

^Yeah. Can't imagine a great deal of other stuff happening in Pi, until after Manny fights. He is a massive (6-1) favourite to win. The other guy looks severely outmatched and outgunned, might be a "don't blink" fight.

Any Predictions any one out there ? from everything I've read ,in his last fight against Ruslan Provodnikov ,Algieri was extremely lucky to get the nod ,and as Algieri is not know for concussive stoping power I expect after a couple of feeling out rounds the pac man will steam in and maybe even stop him in the later rounds .

It's been a long dry spell for Pacquiao on the knockout front. Some folks here think this could be the one.

I disagree. I think TKO late in the fight.

In his last fight against the Russian Provodnikov, Algieri was knocked down and almost out in the first round. He did well to hang on and come back, but it looked like a hometown decision in his favour, in my eyes anyway.

Pacquiao looked sharp as a tack in his last fight, the rematch with Bradley. I think he stops this guy mid-rounds.

Teddy Atlas said that the judges did not see the same fight he saw! ,for me Provodnikov was an easy winner ,and Algieri looked busted up and anything but a winner at the final bell.

^Pacquiao is dealing with a lot of crap here, that's true. Tax crap, political crap, etc. But I still think when he steps through the ropes, he puts all of that shit out of his head and just does what he does. People keep saying age has slowed him down - I sure didn't see that in his last fight.

Yeah DK I concur with everything you write , I hope its the complete bill ,as I'm interested into how the two Thai boxers will fare fighting legitimate opponents for a change, which is not always the case here on home soil.

Well, I was almost correct. I thought the 9th round knockdown was going to be a fight ender.

Yeah DK he received a one sided pasting ,the ref was within an inch of stopping proceedings ,which in my view would have been fair as there was no way Algeiri could have won as he needed a KO ,and from what I saw he was sadly lacking in fire power , I caught the last 5 rounds of the Lomachenko V the Thai fighter who was after 52 fights unbeaten , the Thai took a one sided pasting and from an opponent who fought virtually one handed for the last 5 rounds , never mind, back to Thailand for another winning fight against an imported "no hoper"

Bit of a disappointing card all-round, tbh. The Thais were just there with their fluffed-up fight records to provide easy opposition for Lomachenko, and the Chinese Olympic fraud.
Algieri didn't have a cat in hell's chance, and knew it. On his bike all the fight and lucky to not get stopped by a confused-looking referee. (The ref was terrible).
Algieri didn't come to win, just to get a paycheck. How the hell did this fight get made in the first place? If I'd paid to watch that crap, I'd be wanting my money back.

^Algieri did disappoint. He never really did much but dance and jab. Never got in there punching and mixing it up.

I thought Pacquiao looked to be in very good shape. Good speed, nice punch combinations, and it looked like quite a bit of power in his punches.

Let's hope this badly-matched fight gets us to a Pacquiao vs Mayweather brawl next year!

^, ^^ I'm inclined to concur with everything you both write, what else is there to say or add ? Algeria was in survival mode as the bell rang for round 1 ,an easy pay day for both participants ,personally, although I hate to say it, if and when "Pac man" and" Money" ever meet it will be a shoo in for Mayweather ,as IMHO "money" is a far better defensive boxer than Algeria and hits far harder ,and as both are in the twilight of their careers it makes sense for both as the late legendary ref Mills Lane said to "lets get it on " for one last mega pay day
