Jesus 4 love for Maidana will the Argentinian Cyclone blow himself out?
great fight so far
Hmm, it could have gone either way ,one thing for sure Mayweather is going to ache all over in a few hours .
Well that is plain stupid; it doesn't matter if he skips Ramadhan because he can simply make it up later.A conflict between the schedule of the world’s best boxer and the timing of Ramadan - with its religious obligations for Bolton’s most prominent Muslim - mean the earliest Khan can hope to fight Mayweather is May next year.
Mayweather has earmarked September 13 for the fight to follow his headlining of this weekend’s bumper bill and Khan explains: ‘I can’t be ready for that date. Ramadan doesn’t finish until the end of July and I would need three months in training camp after that to prepare for a fight of this magnitude. The earliest I can be back in the ring after my fight here is late October or early November and that will have to be against another opponent.
Sounds like he's not up for it.
Just another example about what a great boxer Mayweather is and after all these years.
Class pure class.............
Love or hate the guy, credit given were credit is due ,it was his unbelievable level of fitness that Won him the fight ,Maidana visibly slowed in the later rounds ,mind you his Workrate in the first 5 rounds was impossible to keep up ,personally I doubt there will be a return as there are other fish to fry like Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter , one things for sure Mayweather has not been took out of his "Comfort zone" like that for quite a spell.
Interesting remarks from "Golden Boy"De La Hoya Slams Mayweather: He Should Be 43-3! - Boxing News Thoughts any one?
Unscheduled Light Heavyweight Bout.
Packer V Gryngall 1
Packer corner throws in the towel after round 1
This is what Graham Houston had to say about the Mayweather V Maidana fight , in my book Houston is one one the shrewdest judges around Great, yes. TBE? Not so much.
Is it too early for me to pop in and say I hope George Groves knocks the lights out of Carl (the I tried - dodger) Frosch. ?
Many of my mates reckon Frosch and I think Groves so should be a good battle.
For sure its the biggest domestic fight for quite some time with both getting a well deserved Mega payday , IMHO one fight that will more intriguing if it comes off will be Carl Frampton V Scott Quigg at Super Bantam .
I tell you what would be a good fight:
the retired unbeaten Welsh bastard V the Dark Destroyer (my personal favourite) - both in their prime...
I find it hard to get excited by the weight below welter. Somebody like Thomas Hearns, in his very early years, was exciting as was Llyod Honeymaniac, but...
Cycling should be banned!!!
Yeah it makes one wonder how Mayweather would have handled Either Hearns or Leonard in their prime ,Ahh we can only dream eh, glad to see that De Lahoya is out of rehab, lets hope he stays out as he's so much to offer the sport , one of the UK's most exciting fights ever was Benn V Mclennan just a shame it had to finish so tragically .
Hey BB how about Benn in the second round? the greatest come back since the wake of Lazarus !!

Betty, I know Lloyd Honeygun beat the Cobra but he wonderful to watch, great memories.
One of the best comebacks ever. Aided by French comedy refereeing though, it must be said.
That era had some great Middleweights: Roy Jones (in his prime he was unbeatable), James Toney, Mike McCallum, McClellan, Julian Jackson (heaviest puncher ever). The UK had Benn, Eubanks, and of course Michael Watson.
The previous era had the legends Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, and Duran, who all fought each other (and lost to at least one other fighter). This book about the fighters and their rivalries is a great read for any fan of boxing generally:
Both excellent fighters; I always like Hearns best because of his style, but he usually seemed to lose the big fights...Originally Posted by piwanoi
Certainly. Benn liked to get hit a bit, woke him up... A sad end to the fight, but a lot of hard shots taken by both fighters in that one.Originally Posted by piwanoi
He had 3 or 4 very exciting fights, then some awful ones... What are youse guys thoughts on this one; the bell of the second round?Originally Posted by dobella
How about this one for a first round:
Benn certainly gave British fight fans many years of top notch watching. Probably my personal favourite.
Bermane Stiverne vs. Chris Arreola starting in a few minutes. Its going to be a war.
