    Ripping yarn. Onstream and torrents.
    Ripping yarn indeed.
    Good entertainment.
The sort of movie I would watch during a long flight. It is not going to tax the braincells working out the plot but it would certainly make the flight seem quicker

^For the uninitiated, it's yet more tedious bollocks from Guy Ritchie.

I have just finished watching the first series of the latest incarnation of Ian Rankin's Rebus on BBC.
This third version stars Richard Rankin in the title role, following on from John Hannah and Ken Stott. In this series Rebus is a lowly Detective Sergeant.
The Guardian's revue has Richard Rankin as the 'most irresistible incarnation yet' of Rebus. I disagree Ken Stott was better.
The Guardian gives it 3 stars. I wouldn't disagree

This series is based on the characters in the Ian Rankin Inspector Rebus books but is not written by him although he has an executive producer credit.

The 6 part series started slow but improved as it went on.
With a fair amount of loose ends this series was made with the intention of producing further series.

    The Fall Guy (Movie, 2024).

Better than I thought it would be. Not brilliant mind you, but watchable.

Have it downloaded so we'll probably give it a watch tonight. Will give it a lulu out of 10 score if people are interested.

Rebus. Enjoying it - but he's not Rebus. Agree Ken Stott was great but couldn't quite picture him as an ex 'Parra' !

It's cute how harriet gets so worked up, being laconic.

Gonna have to give Rebus a go.

Edinburgh is a terrific setting for this.

Taking the piss out of you commenting on films you've never seen is "getting worked up"?

It's no different to you commenting on football matches you've never seen really, innit.

    Or Thai law.

I thought it was a jolly good show.

    A solid 9.6 L/10.

    Civil War (Movie, 2024).

Decent original screenplay from Alex Garland (The Beach, etc.). America has descended into civil war after a "fictional" rogue president enters his third term and starts using the military to suppress rebellion. Never happen right?

On Onstream in HD so there are obviously torrents around, I'm not going to bother looking for them since Onstream is such an easy solution to watching things now.

    Atlas (Movie, 2023)

The Artifice Girl showed you can make a though-provoking, intelligent movie about AI on a modest budget.

Netflix on the other hand threw J-Lo and $100m at Atlas, and all I can say is it's going to be up for a few Razzies.

^^I saw Civil War at the movie theatre and was not impressed. The story was about the moxie it takes to be a war photographer. I thought the story got lost in the gory civil war background.

Nasty - a portrait of 70s tennis great Ilie Nastase.

IMO great subject, not such a great doc.

    My favourite ever tennis player.
This was pre VHS and Internet. I used to watch him closely to copy how he stood or held the racquet, especially his top spin lobs.

Watching him and Tiriac play doubles was great entertainment

I haven't downloaded movies for ages , getting pretty bored with Netflix, kids like it though so I guess I will keep paying . What's the best site for downloading movies these days. I particularly used to enjoy the euro/ scando genre I don't mind subtitles either. Is pirate Bay still a thing?
He promised to headbutt me, if he ever saw me. Charming.

I guess that my solution would be that he 'never saw me'.

I've long given up using torrents except for obscure stuff that can't be found elsewhere.

Onstream is a simple way to watch movies directly from torrent sites. It flags the CAM's so you can avoid them. If you create a free account it will remember your progress.
