Finally watched The Good Short. Good use of unexpected actors/settings to clarify the expected technical issues. The bathing lady etc.

Yes lots of shouty men, making instant decisions and ensuring the underlings followed them, immediately, because as we all know time is money and also some slick snake oil salesmen. The Florida Real Estate agents boasting of their commision on their illegal sales, the stripper with her 5 homes all bought with fake mortgages. But then that always been the impression of financial "wizards". The Las Vegas restaurant scene where No. 1 Mr Shouty suddenly realised the enormity of the situation whilst his informer continued to devour his morsels and show his indifference because he was worth billions due to his "work. The indifference of the rating agencies.

The guests leaving the hotel the next morning. LA cabs for the minions, super sized limos for the billionaire and the lady hoping to move from the regulators to the lizard end of the business by using her sexuality, said it all.

So a good movie for entertainment, for explaining the events etc.

Watch it for fun and for some, a possible education.

Wentworth is pretty good, just started watching it on Netflix. Bea Smith in full HD. She's a tad better lookin though in this series than Prisoner cell Block H.

Found the new season openers for Game of Thrones and Turn disappointing. I hate shows that are filmed in the dark....dark rooms, dark cells. About 1/2 of each show was a practically black screen. Hope they pick it up.

The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies (2014)

In 2010 a young girl from Bristol went missing and was subsequently found murdered. Police arrested and questioned her landlord, an eccentric but harmless former English teacher, and the press went to town on him, making all manner of sordid accusations on the basis that he was guilty.

He was subsequently released and the police arrested one of her neighbours, who subsequently confessed to the crime.

This two-parter covers the arrest and the following events, which became front and centre in the Leveson Inquiry into phone hacking and media ethics.

The performance by the lead, Jason Atkins, is simply stunning - he could be the bloke's twin.

Well worth a watch for that alone.

It won two BAFTA's, for best miniseries and best leading actor (which must have been a shoo in).
