    You can't skip season one.

It would be like shooting a single nut's worth of spunk.

Nope, the wire must be watched in its entirety in order to sate your desire - I mean, you'll even miss the classic "if you shoot for the king" line if you skip season one. And that would be awful.

Blue Murder - Roger (the dodger) Rogerson and Neddy Smith running amok in NSW in the 70/80s - based on fact - made in 1995 but wasn't allowed to be broadcast in NSW until 2001. The cops were as bad/ worse than the crims. Ball-tearer ozzie cop drama.
(rogerson was recently charged with murdering a young student ice-dealer - still awaiting trial)

Well, IME if I binge-watch, I'll forget a lot of shit & it's a lot more entertaining when I re-watch X years from now. As outstanding as the writing for HOC is, they sure got the oil thing all wrong huh ?

Anyone seen 'Trapped' ? An Icelandic crime drama, it looks pretty good and it's got a good imdb rating, but I'm not a big fan of crime drama.

Just finished the first 2 episodes. Interesting to me as it's set in a part of the world about which I know very little - and with weather like that, I'll certainly never visit. Some fantastic scenery shots. I rarely watch shows with subtitles, but these are well done and you almost forget they're there. And good that they are, as Icelandic is one strange language. Thus far, maybe a 6.5. Might go up to 7 when/if the story line develops a bit more.

Glad you're enjoying it... the 'Scandinavian' dramas are usually quite dark, so hopefully it picks up.

There's another good one on iPlayer, 'The Night Manager' which seems to be very popular at the moment, I'll sit and watch it later. Based on a John le Carre novel. The lead actor Tom Huddlestone is tipped to be the next Bond.

A night manager of a European hotel is recruited by intelligence agents to infiltrate an international arms dealer's network.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Let us know what you think - I rarely watch spy stuff as so much of it is so badly done.

Some new Aussie Drama started last night called 'Wanted'. Twitter lit up like a Christmas tree and all that I saw was positive. Might be one to watch out for.

Also, I watched the movie called the Dress Maker a few days ago. Classic Australian setting and a really good story line. Still not sure if I was meant to laugh out loud at various stages - but I did. A really good film.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

Couldn't have said it better myself, so I won't.......'Fortitude' Fortitude (TV Series 2015? ) - IMDb is a bit similar & better. They've got another season coming up sooner or later.

I can't remember ever seeing such divergent reviews on IMDB. Everyone either fucking hated or loved it. It's 'the Donald' of TV. I downloaded E1 only - more later.

Solace with Anthony Hopkins and yummy Colin Farrell was a good watch to.

    Public Morals
    1h | Crime, Drama | TV Series (2015– )

Set in the early 1960's in New York City's Public Morals Division, where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that come from dealing with all kinds of vice can get the better of them.

Almost through the combined EP1&2. Beautiful scenery, but I don't have the slightest idea - an hour into it - what it's about. If things don't clarify in EP3, I'm done.

It's going to be weirder than you imagine. I don't think that I could watch it & 'Trapped' simultaneously without committing suicide though.
