Gyllenhall's performance is up there with some of the best on screen psycho's.

I thought I'd love this because I dig the director's other stuff (Paul Thomas Anderson), but you can cross 'Inherent Vice' off the list. It somehow manages to be original, bizarre, undecipherable, & boring. 3/10. Fell asleep 2X & I wasn't tired.

Revenge of the Green Dragons.

Thought this was going to be a bit better than it was. Especially when I saw Scorsese was involved. Still worth watching though IMO. Based on true events, it's about Chinese youth gangs in New York in the 1980's.

At this time of year a copy of the film is distributed to people that judge awards like the Oscar and Golden Globe for assessment.. they usually end up in the hands of pirates then copied for the internet.

Enjoyed this. It's like a grown up serious version of "50 first dates". A woman (Nicole Kidman) wakes up with no memory every day after having an accident. But all is not what it seems.

Well I watched American Sniper. What a load of hooey. Sorry can't recommend that to anyone. Too much of a chick flick. Might be a true story but that is probably why it is rubbish . Too much emphasis on the guy himself and not on the action. Enemy At The Gates was a much better sniper movie.
I'll give it 2/10 because I had to fast forward thought all the sentimental stuff twice.

I just watched it and I thought it was one of Clint's best films. Well acted character study of a very controversial hero of the Iraq war. Plenty of action for me. Chick flick? 8/10

"The Judge". 2014. Courtroom drama. Robert Downey, Jr., Robert Duvall, Billy Bob Thornton. Excellent performances by all, especially Duvall. Solid 8/10. Really good movie.

Anyone have a recommendation for a media player?

I have used a Mede8r 250X for the last few years, it's great but has possibly developed a fault (not sure as it works on one TV but not the other despite having worked on it for years, need to do a lot of trial and error to ascertain if it's the cable, the Tv etc......

That said I could do with 2, so I may buy another, looking at the other versions of the Mede8r, 1000X, 800X.....

Just wondered if anyone was using anything else? ability to put a HDD in is good as it gives me another storage option.....

^Why would you need such a thing? Chromecast should do.

^^ I've an Asus O!Play Mini for a couple of years which works just fine with an external HD or memory sticks. A couple of friends have cheaper Egret media players which have more functions and work just great.
