In fact the releases over the last few month have been so bad that I have started to watch some of the US series instead ( something I never used to do ! ).Loving Gotham at the moment BTW

The traditional only dogshit movie release period is coming to an end. The ones that aspire to Awards try to release close to the end of the year, figuring they won't be forgotten that way. I've been using your plan since the start of Summer. Gotham is surprisingly good for network stuff.

    Many thanks
Not exactly what you asked for but my wife has started using this site. All the latest American series with Thai subs. There's older stuff as well, the misses has just started watching the walking dead and the following and they're a couple of years old now.

There's decent copies of 'Rise of Planet of The Apes' now for those that don't do dodgy cam copies. Not sure how long they've been around for. It took me a while to find one with hard coded subs for the chimps sign language but found one in the end.

Slowly working my way around the globe. Swedish crime series this time. There's five, two part series in all, they're based on novels by Swedish writer Arne Dahl and were shown on BBC 4. Just finished 'The Blind Man'. Nothing special but I shall watch some more.

Judging by S01E01 Manhattan is going to be really good. It's about the development of 'the bomb' in Los Alamos during WWII.

The proxy version of PB I was using has just gone tits up which means every link I've posted recently (before elementary) is no longer valid. Well handy.

On a plus note, they do now lead to a pretty helpful page if you're looking for some proxied download sites.

Tried to watch "The Judge" last night, but gave up. Those fucking subtitles were right in the middle of the screen. Didn't look anything more than average in any case.

Some really good series out there, but the movie selection is shit.

^ Cheers mate but that's the exact page I use. It's just that the one I was using suddenly stopped working. No bother to me as I just use another one but makes all previous links fucked.

I don't know if it's been recommended but this, I found to be very good. Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (TV Mini-Series 2011) - IMDb A bit gory but it's to be expected being as it's about gladiators.

^ not that all the US accents in everything from Law & Order to Grey's Anatomy et al grate on anyone? They are usually simply ignored or tuned out?

I doubt it. I watch far more in the way of British TV series than Merkin. I rarely have trouble with the accents, unless they are really strong. Like uneducated hoodlums in shows - I don't know what you call it - Cockney?

Well, ^ they are US shows, I expect a US accent.
It just turned me off hearing (esp) Kiwis mangling all the Latin names and terms.

What can I say, I like period pieces & historical dramas. You prefer Gladiator Movies (not that there's anything wrong w/that).
