The whole thing was white bashing from start to finish. They never make films about Islamic slavery which started in Africa before white's started up and went on long after abolition in the west, still there today in fact. I think the biggest sickener in a recent film was in Lincoln where he is depicted talking to black soldiers, Lincoln was as big a racist as anyone.

On Lincoln, such films are not an accurate portrayal of history, merely what appeals the ignorant fantasies of the audience today. Here is one of the many racist quotes on Blacks:

Racist Quote by Abe Lincoln (Happy Black History Month!)
    February 19, 2007 by bonoboi
    Abraham Lincoln Quote

“I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.”

    by:

    Abraham Lincoln
    (1809-1865) 16th US President
    Source:

Fourth Debate with Stephen A. Douglas at Charleston, Illinois, September 18, 1858
(The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume III, pp. 145-146.)

    Some popular flicks of late.

    Elysium - Matt Damon

Meh, nothing original or better done in this of the shelf dystopian future flic where the elite live in a giant space station while the troggs and rebels work the wasted earth to supply them.

    Kills a few hours.

    The Wolverine - Hugh Jackman

Wolverine goes to Japan and gets fucked up by ninjas.
Lots of kung fu fighting and amazingly unattractive choices for the female Jappo supports.

    Not a bad distraction.

Elysium got some mixed reviews. I did enjoy it but it wasn't great. It didn't make much sense - Jodie Fosters character was particularly worthless.

    Could have been much better.

I do as it's looking back and making judgements from today's morality. They always have southerners depicted as harsh slave owning bastards, they were not all like that. Many had slaves in the North not long before 12 years story, 4 of the first 5 US presidents were slave owners including Washington and Jefferson who had hundreds, you never see that in these bleeding heart films though, it's always those evil southern rebs.

Indeed they were including all these presidents, did you know even Grant, who really won the Civil war, was also a slave owner. Washington had over 200 as did Jefferson. These are the scumbags who believed in life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as long as you were not black. American presidential scum.

    Which U.S. Presidents Owned Slaves?

Just watched Dave Grohl's 'Sound City', a documentary about the last great analog music studio at which scores of classic rock albums were recorded- great interviews and fantastic music.
