Sorry, but some random people on the internet (who haven't watched it) told me it was crap- your opinion (based on actual anecdotal evidence) doesn't hold much value compared to them.

I completely agree with you- I also think season 4 was excellent- I really enjoyed the storyline and the fact that the focus was on characters that played only minor roles in prior seasons (something which is really great about 'The Wire' in general- you never know who is going to step up into a starring role).

Your review of it already improved before you even watched it- it went from 'highly disappointing' to 'a bit boring' in the span of a few posts (so it went from a '2' to a '5 or 6' on the 'Butterfly scale' of reviews based on unwatched shows)- now that you might actually watch it and offer a review based on your own opinion rather than that of someone else, I would imagine that it will get a '10' (or maybe even an '11')- either that or you'll try to justify your earlier comments by trashing it no matter what your real opinion is.

I find your opinions seriously lacking in any sort of credibility- I refuse to 'hear you out' but I reserve the right to ridicule your assessment.

And yet the vast majority of fan and critical opinion cast season 4 in a positive light- you can always find someone who doesn't like something, of course, but most viewers (fans and critics alike) seemed to have liked it- when you say 'the fans' you make it sound like the majority, which is hardly the case.
