Skins is a British teen drama from the creators of the UK television series Shameless. Skins is focused around the lives of a group of 16-17 year old teenage friends in Bristol. Kids who party hard, pass exams, have sex, self-harm, manage their parents, interface with their teachers and push boundaries - both home and abroad. It covered a wide range of scientific subjects including the origin of life and a perspective of our place in the universe.

The series was first broadcast by the Public Broadcasting Service in 1980, and was the most widely watched series in the history of American public television until The Civil War (1990).

I can't remember watching it before, but would be surprised if I haven't. But then again, it is older than me, so maybe not. Looks bloody interesting anyway.

I recommend you don't touch the US version of Shameless with a shitty stick. They've basically taken the English version and tried to 'mercanise it. With William H. Macy trying to play Frank Gallagher.
