A series giving the back story to Bruce Waynes butler, Alfred Pennyworth. I enjoyed the first episode and am looking forward to see how it plays out.

Saw a mention of this and thought I'd give it a try. Quirky low budget piece with a nice twist. A robotics scientist is to be interviewed by a journalist about his creation, but the creation starts to act increasingly irrational.

An Excellent Melting Pot of a Detective Show
29 December 2016 | by lagourmandeverte –
Will "The Break" remind you of "Twin Peaks"? Yep. How about "Broadchurch" and "True Detective," or the French show "Les Revenants"? Check, and check (and the show's creators have even admitted as much). Okay, now that we've gotten what a bunch of other reviews and interviews have already noted (mostly on French websites), let's get to the execution of the show, and why it's so darn good. And yes, it is really good - in spite of reminding you of Lots of Things That Have Come Before It.
The plot: as stated above, there is a soccer player who turns up dead. A brooding detective who is new to town (for reasons that become increasingly clear as the story unfolds) is the chief investigator on the case. That's all I can really say without spoiling anything - and you really have to know as little as possible about this show to enjoy it to the fullest extent.
The execution: This is an excellent sort of whodunit, complete with Log Lady-type characters, dark and creepy woods, and lots of other goings-on that are of a highly suspicious nature (David Lynch is chuckling somewhere, that's for sure). I was hooked after one episode - and I mean, hooked. As in, I binged all of these in two days. This surprised me, as I went in having read a couple of lukewarm reviews that implied it might be too similar to the above-referenced shows; it's not. Rest assured that the Belgians have taken some of the greatest elements of these shows and really mixed them into something altogether new and incredibly fun to watch.
The story will keep you guessing; the characters are definitely not entirely what they seem, and each episode does one of those super- fun cliffhangers that has you immediately pressing "play the next episode." It's definitely less "produced-looking" and the small townsfolk really look like - well, small townsfolk. Heiderfeld does seem like the kind of place where things are bubbling just underneath the surface. It's a heck of a fun ride and I can't wait for Season Two!
FYI for those who are parents, or those who might be squeamish - it's a bit gory (dead bodies up close; lots of blood; scary visions), and as it's a European show, there are a lot of nudity and sex. Fair warning.
and your point was, boring cyrille :)
I'm not sure why it's taken me 41 years (the duration of my existence to date) to watch Midnight Express, but it's an absolute pearler of a prison flick, bested only perhaps by Shawshank, and Big Bitches Banged Up in Colchester nick, Part 2.
Watching third season of True Detective, looks pretty good so far.
https://teakdoor.com/attachment.php?a...id=35038&stc=1An Australian movie called Muriel’s Wedding. Okay it’s a chick flick but it’s very funny and poignant in parts.
When you want to get brownie points with a sheila on the couch it’s actually bearable.
I just started watching 'Jett'. Brilliant. Take your pick. https://torrentz2.eu/search?f=jett

A chance to revisit one of the best films ever made, in the nearest we'll get to Ridley Scott's vision, to celebrate the memory of the enigmatic Rutger Hauer.
One thing I didn't know: He ad-libbed the end of his legendary closing speech, much the annoyance of the scriptwriter, who ended up praising him for it.
There is a rumoured four hour version of the film that Scott only ever showed to studio personnel; who knows how self-indulgent that was but it would be hard for it to outdo the sequel in that regard.

Ton of copies of Endgame out and none of them mention "Korsub".

The comments say that there are scenes requiring subtitles (translations of 'alien' languages, I guess) that are in Spanish rather than English (and they're hard-coded, so even if you download the English subtitles they either wouldn't show up during the translated scenes or would be overlaid on the Spanish subs), and there are some audio-synching issues. I can wait two days for the better quality version. Unless the comments say a torrent released in advance of the official date is a screener or a perfect copy, I'll usually wait.
From one comment:
- Spanish subtitles (only at certain times and you can't hide them)
- There is a 1/2 second audio delay part way into the video that lasts for about 20 minutes
- There are times when the audio momentarily cuts out for about 100ms
- At times, the video goes black for about 5-10 frames
The Boys (Amazon Prime, 2019) is actually not bad, although it takes a while to get going.
There's a lot of black humour in it - it's from Eric Kripke (Supernatural).
Watchable at 6.5/10.
The final season of 'Orange is the New Black' is out- I'm not a huge fan, but the wife likes it and it's tolerable enough to watch it together.
