    Hawkwind

    Any Hawkwind fans out there?

    Space is calling...........

Hawkwind are in my top 5 of all time favourite bands - got into them as a teenager when I used to do acid and smoke loads of dope - great music, lyrics and artwork.

Used to own nearly all of the albums on vinyl - not so easy to get hold of nowadays.

I only ever saw them the once - also at Hammersmith Odeon , London - in about 1988.

    any other fans out there?

I used to listen to them a lot, not so much these days.

Have you ever heard of Gong, another bunch of hippy acid freaks?

    persoanlly preferred gong.
Saw them only the once in France.Camembert electrique was Virgin's first album release wasn't it?
That i show i found it as it was a dirt cheap loss leader.
recorded in northern france only on full moon nights - yes really into the commercial stuff
when one record label ( whom they had left i believe) released a live album they came out with their own "Gong is Dead".
I have most of their stuff full of teapot taxis and pothead pixies - good stuff

I hope Hawkwind have replced that dancer who used to dance naked with them on stage. She would be a bit long in the tooth and the tit by now

I've no idea. It was about 20 years ago.

Quark Strangeness and Charm. I saw them once, but was a bit tired and fell asleep. I woke up some time later and they were still playing the same tune, possibly.

I suspect you downed the wrong pill before the concert.
