Just watched Million Dollar Baby Sandra and I did, but the AC was on and she kept asking me to feel her tummy so I couldn't really get a grip on the plot.

    *WARNING: PLOT SPOILER AHEAD*

She dies in the end though which would have been sad if I could have heard what was going on.

Just saw it in the theater and it was very good.

Jim Carey has really transformed himself from that goofy guy into a very believable actor.

If you need to kill a few hours , not a bad choice.

Gerry - A film by Gus Van Sant. I read up on it first on IMDB and learned that it was film that people either lover or hated it. This was inaccurate because my feelings went beyond hate, not that it was 'bad', it was that nothing happened and this is fine if you appreciate the 'art' behind the project, but I never and I really begrudged paying good money to rent it.

Vampire Wars - The year is 2210. The universe is overrun with hundreds of vampire species that prey upon humans in brutal, surprise attacks. That's when intergalactic Vampire Sanitation teams are called upon to lay waste to these vile predators. V-SAN crews, who've come to know their line of work as "the toughest job you'll ever hate," are comprised of rough and rugged men, women-and in the case of the Heironymous crew-a half human-half vampiress named Quintana (Natassia Malthe), who draws upon her psychic prowess to help the V-SANs track their quarry. Led by Captain Nicholas Churchill (Joe Lando) and second-in-command Damian Underwood (Dominic Zamprogna), the Heironymous team becomes the target of a deadly trap that has a much deeper and darker purpose. Directed by their vile leader Muco (Michael Ironside), the vampires have no plans of living peaceably with humans...they want to rule the universe.

-B movie, mindless and really bad plot. I wish I could have my 90minutes back. Only star of note - Chester from Top Gun.

At the end of the film the ship hits an iceberg and sinks.

    Hilary Swank

Based on the true story of new high school teacher Erin Greuell, played by Hilary Swank.
It's one of those stories that we have seen lots of times before. The story of underprivieged kids being transformed through the dedication of their teacher.
I like Hilary Swank, she is starting to look an awful lot like Julia Roberts.

At times the movie is quite moving but it's a little too sentimental in parts and there has been quite a bit of controversy about the actual impact that Greuell really had on her students and also wether or not she was motivated more by notoriety than the genuine wish to improve her students lot.

In any case, it's quite enjoyable, if you like these sort of movies it's worth the download. Not as good as the standard bearer for these sort of films, the wonderful "Stand and Deliver", but ok.

    "Synopsis

Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy hit the road in this rollicking comedy-adventure about a group of middle-aged friends who decide to rev up their routine suburban lives with a freewheeling motorcycle trip. Taking a long dreamed-of breather from their stressful jobs and family responsibilities, they can’t wait to feel the freedom of the open road. When this mis-matched foursome, who have grown far more used to the couch than the saddle, set out for this once-in-a-lifetime experience - they encounter a world that holds far more than they ever bargained for. The trip begins to challenge their wits and their luck, especially during a chance run-in with the Del Fuegos, a real-life biker gang who are less than amused with their novice approach. As they go looking for adventure, they soon find that they’ve embarked on a journey they will never forget."

There were a fair amount of laughs and as usual my wife made us all cringe by laughing so loud and at every opportunity.

I guess the actors are the draw to the movie as the story itself is almost non-existent. 4 middle aged guys go on a road trip - with hiliarious consequences.

Its a bit like a Disney movie at times, but then has some unnecessary sexual references and homophobia included. Not much but just enough to make me slightly regret bringing my kids to watch it.

    My rating 3/5.
you basically described City Slickers (1991), but instead of horses it's motorcycles!

    You gotta love Hollywood!

I just saw The Aviator (2004) again this weekend! I love that flick, Scorsese should of won an Oscar for that film easily!

Leonardo is a hell of an actor! He's one of the best young mainstream actors around! IMHO.

oh yeah, how can I forget Cate Blanchett's performance as Kate Hepburn! That was amazing! She totally transformed herself!

I would give The Aviator 4/4 stars!

The aviator is very good indeed.
I also agree with Bustak about Di Caprio.
An outstanding actor that seems to be getting better all the time.
Take away "the beach" and he has been pretty impressive since he played the mentally handicapped kid in "What's eating Gilbert Grape" as a very young boy.

    All the King's Men.

It is an adaptation of the 1946 Pulitzer Prize winning novel All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren, staring Sean Penn, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, James Gandolfini, Patricia Clarkson, Anthony Hopkins and Kathy Baker.

I think that this movie was the biggest waist of 2 hours in my entire life.

i have to admit that I read the rottentomatoes.com reviews in advance of downloading these days.
    It's a pretty good barometer.
If the reviews are less than 50% positive I won't bother at all.

The deer scene was pretty freaky, other than that I found it to be not very good.

    Night at the museum

If, like me, you are bored of watching rather serious stuff and fancy watching something funny.
    Don't watch this movie.
    Totally rammel.
What a waste of a fine cast.
God knows what the likes of Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan were thinking when they signed up for this project. I'm sure they aren't that short of money these days.

I know it's a movie for kids, but even there it falls way short.
I quite like Ben Stiller, but don't think running, sliding and diving around for nearly 2 hours can really be called acting.
    Not good at all.

Was just thinking of a movie he did years ago that i though was brilliant but very under-rated The Basketball Diaries (1995)

I forgot about that flick! It is AWESOME!

I think one of Leonardo's GREATEST roles was is Arnie in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). My sister thought he was really mentally challenged! He did a hell of a job in that movie!
