    Smile Gaffes on T/V

Just been watching "Hornblower" on ITV3 via UKT/V. About halfway through this episode where Hornblower and his 1st officer were surveying a "French" stronghold in a 'ye oldie worldy thatched cottage' on the French coast, when the camera panned around the scene there was a pole on the chimney holding up a modern T/V aerial. Any one else spotted gaffes like this in movies?

There is a gas canister on the underside of a chariot in Gladiator exposed when the chariot turns over.

El Cid has a technician wearing a short sleeve polo shirt and headphones in one of the crowd scenes, tyre tracks in a beach scene, and Heston blinks and later moves his arm clearly out of sync with the canter in the final beach scene when he's supposed to be dead.

Ben Hur has a coke can and tyre tracks during the chariot race, the Star of David as a Jewish symbol way before its time, and books a few centuries before they upgraded from scrolls.

In Predator you can see Jesse Ventura's arm tucked under his shirt when the predator blasted it off.

I saw a movie about Napoleon years ago, name not recalled. In one of the scenes of the assembled army, a soldier in the second rank was wearing a wristwatch.

Knightrider always annoyed me, the opening credits where he is blasting across the saltpan and does a big donut, you can see where the practiced it a hundred times.

Arrested Development and Larry Sanders always annoyed me because the boom mike showed in so many scenes.

I was always thinking, was that the boom mike again?

Clint Eastwood in 'Honky Tonk Man' set in the US depression years, reaches from a bed for a bottle of Southern Comfort with a barcode clearly visible on the label.

..was watching Where Eagles Dare last night..when they were escaping out of some shed in the German stronghold/castle grounds there was a Warning sign of some sort on the outside of the shed in English could not be bothered to freeze it and read...lol

It is an entertaining pastime I enjoy when viewing less than enjoyable movies to try to spot these gaffs.....

I do that when having to watch Thai soaps, especially period dramas.
Quite often in dramas set centuries ago, you'll spot cast members with a pale band of skin on their wrist where they've been wearing a watch.
Once in an outdoor scene, I've spotted the tops of a row of townhouses in the background.
