^ Have you considered switching to cattle class for a couple of trips and getting long suffering Gert some furniture
Funny you should mention that she's ordered new curtains and curtain rails.
And I saved some money I didn't fly first class.

^ What I'd give for a new style, THAI business class teaspoon...
Yesterday I had the best meal in nearly seven weeks, mid-afternoon, so neither lunch nor dinner strictly speaking.
What I really like about gammon steak at the Robin Hood is that they automatically include both a fried egg AND a pineapple ring, thus saving my tired brain yet another decision to make.
Their gammon steaks are great as well... thick and juicy, and way better than the tired, flat frozen things I brought back home from Iceland a few weeks ago. I'd love to know where to buy gammon steaks like this.
So where is the fabled pineapple ring?
^
In my lower colon, right now.
But in the picture...due nor' west and abutting the fried egg!
Or at 10 O'clock, if you prefer pipeline terminology.
The 1970s called, Mendy. They asked if they could have their menu back.
They didn't happen to have prawn cocktail on their menu too, did they?
^ I'll check for you.
Once I've finished my chicken in a basket.
I was going to add my pla duuk an' chips to the Fusion Food thread which could do with some traffic, but when I saw the dismal state of the fusion food on offer decided against it.
Yesterday I filleted the 1kg pla duuk I caught a couple of days ago.
An Isaan Pond
And along with oven chips already cooking, had all the ingredients necessary for catfish an' chips.
Catfish fillets probably aren't as aesthetically pleasing as white cod or haddock fillets, or even pla nin fillets, but it's good solid flesh and this was just one fillet cut in half. A 1kg fish easily makes four servings (plus the head and leftover flesh went into a curry) and we'll have the same again in due course.
My mum called at the critical moment as is her habit, and by the time we had connected on Whatsapp and she'd remembered how to un-mute and turn on the video, so that I could tell her I'd call back in a bit, the fish had slightly over-fried.
But there was still nothing wrong with this... I can't believe that I've never tried pla duuk an' chips before.
