What exactly are you supposed to do with the pickled ginger? I always used it to make tea at my local Jap place in Brunei.

Funny how that is. I typically never drink Japanese beer unless eating Japanese food. It just pairs up nice.

As for Oysters, I love them and will only partake eating them in a nice restaurant. I would never eat them out and about here. Like many of us, there was a price paid so lessons learned.

    Mouth watering stuff.

Pizza Company are doing a BOGOF deal for the next 7 days, but they seem to have removed all other pizzas that are not included in the deal, like the NY range and the dippers.

I was all set to get the NY Truffle this evening and take the leftovers on the road to Lanta tomorrow.

    Bastards.

Are you doing it slow and low? Pork belly when smoked is what we Americans call bacon.

If I am eating a few dishes or rolls I take a bite of ginger in between tasting the different items. It clears the pallete.

    Every day’s a school day.

Pizza last night. One of the deluxe or feast offerings but with thousand island sauce.

    That’s breakfast sorted then.

Pineapple and Thousand Island sauce on a pizza? I'd be fine with it, but expect a lynch mob to come after your arse once they see your post

Anything but anchovies, squid or seafood in general on a pizza.

Those New York Truffle bad boys are decent.

If you’re unsure about the TI sauce, get it on the kids free pizza and give it a go. You’ll be surprised.

    No No No,

I did give it a go years ago, into the mouth and right back out onto a paper towel, and disposed of in the garbage.

Not pizza, flat bread with shit on it, would be a better description. Sorry HW, and Dirk.

We probably need a stand-alone The Pizza thread, we've done this dance before here and not much divides people like what's right and what's not on a pizza! That's before we even go down the road of Italian style vs New York style, thin or thick base, pineapple or no pineapple, and so on. I mean, a good steak is a good steak in anyone's eyes but what makes a good pizza will never be agreed on.

Here's what we typically get delivered. Couldn't count the dozens of choices we have here to get a pizza at the front door within 20-40 minutes but this is the one we get 9 times out of 10. For us it's perfect, others wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole
